hi! just want to ask something re engagement, wedding, marriage and divorce korean style. i am quite curious, ij,kj and hj got divorces so quickly from one another in this series. isn't there a processing period, waiting, discussion of terms of divorces. there isn't a waiting period before divorce becomes final or something? also , please engagement of couples in korea, wedding. i read somewhere, that getting married is not so fussy in korea and you can even get married within a day after you get your license. is it as easy as getting married in las vegas.can somebody explain all the rules of courtship, engagement , marriage and divorce to me. it's quite different here in the philippines, though we are quite westernized, we have no divorce laws.

Regarding divorce, when Min-joo and Sang-min divorced in 'Yellow Hankerchief', all they had to do was show up at the courthouse, show their drivers licenses, and sign and stamp the forms.
Both that and the one in this show were not contested, which probably explains why they happened so fast. In some other shows, one character signs and stamps the form, and then gives it to the other to do likewise, and then file it, but the other character never does, or even destroys the form. The first character thinks they are divorced, only to find out later that they aren't.

Do you think Ki-joon finally filed the divorce papers? He had told IY he would, then later confessed that he hadn't done it. Maybe he isn't really married to Hee-joo. She'd kill him!

Good point, so what happens if KJ didn't file the divorce papers with IY. Is he a bigamist or are we to assume that he did file it and he is not a bigamist, but just a newly remarried man?
