I missed the scene both times of what actually a happened and just saw her sitting on the couch crying about it. What happened?? Did that woman who yelled at her do something?
Also, I missed what happened after Kijoon approached In-Young at the time capsule in the school yard and said he only needed her. And she said he, alone, was enough for her! Why didn't they end up together?
TIA for the details!

IY and KJ were both at the school yard. But the part where KJ ran up and hugged IY and said he only needed her and she agreed....that was just a daydream in KJ's head. It never happened. So KJ just stood there crying the whole time as he watched IY read the letters afar.

Such a disappointment! It showed them hugging, then KJ just standing in the shadows with tears in his eyes. fooey. They didn't show it, but it seems that the coffee seller has a husband who came and threatened Boksoon, so she left without selling all her rolls. Wonder if she made enough to buy the food and pay back her investors.

I was wondering about this myself. I checke my recordings to see if there was a missing episode, but there wasn't. and all the episodes ran for 33+ minutes, which is their full length. Maybe it was explained more in the dialog, but not in the subtitles?

I tape this show when I'm at work, but missed an episode because I put in Channel 26 instead of Channel 28!
I think another woman challenged Bok-soon over her space where she was selling coffee. Who knows, but they probably had a fight.
I think In-young is leaving messages, in a time capsule, in the place where they buried the ones they wrote a few years ago when they were happy. This is IY's way of keeping in touch with KJ without really meeting him face to face.

Oh, Sandy, what did you see on Channel 26? Was it interesting? LOL.
I think In-young is leaving the messages, too. Such a creative girl. Tell your husband to move on, but make it clear that you are NOT so he really can't do it.
My favorite scene with Bok-soon has been when she discovered the boyfriend and girlfriend in the cafe. Everything to do with that scene. The look on her face, the look on Mrs Hen's face, the look of pride on Grandpa's face, pointing at Mrs Hen and saying, "gurlfren-nd!" and himself, saying, "boyfren-nd!" over and over. Wonderful. Anything with these three characters is wonderful. Oh, no, wait, I forgot when Bok-soon was pretending to eat the Korean bacon daintily at table, and grandpa kept urging her because he thought she was shy (when she really was just stuffed with the bacon already) and father was laughing up his sleeve at the scene because he knew the situation. Priceless.
