VIB, thanks so much for the synopsis. Owing to the endless series of problems with our station in the San Francisco area 140 just aired last night. I held off reading your transcription until today so I wouldn't spoil it for myself. What a totally superb job! I hope, however we don't lose too subtitles for too many episodes of Yi Sun Shin, otherwise the carpal tunnel will get you. At present I can only hope we SF fans get to watch Admiral Yi.
As I've mentioned on previous posts I'm a veteran watcher of Japanese historical dramas (for more than a decade), and AOW is the first Korean series I've seen. It makes me sorely regret that I missed the earlier ones, but better late than never. I am more impressed with AOW than the Japanese dramas because I think the Japanese dramas tend to sugarcoat their protagonists a bit more, and the overall plots and storylines are simpler (although far better than Japanese soaps). The more recent Japanese dramas have been improved, although, although their subject matter is much less epic in scope than AOW. Notably, the last Miyamoto Musashi series was the first dramatic series I've seen that portrayed Ieyasu and his final consolidation of power (including the destruction of the last Toyotomi adherents at Osaka Castle) in a more negative and cynical light. The current series, Shinsengumi is superb, because it really shows the complexity of the swirling politics of about the time of the Restoration better than any show I've seen (if any show should be called the "Last Samurai" this is the one). Still, nothing I see on TV, not even Shinsengumi, makes me look forward to the next episode the way AOW does. Thanks again for enhancing our AOW viewing experience.

Dear velvet inkbrush of YiSoonShin I would like to say you did an excellent summery. Now i was wondering if you would be so kind as to make one for episode 141? Episode 141 has just aired, managing to lose its subtitling again as i have managed to lose my head.

so, have you decided yet? will it be luvarchfiend, luvchoibu, luvjangdongjik, or luvyisoonshin? lmao. ;D well ID, it is a problem. i have been luvarchfiend for always. since choi bu was a character played by my favorite korean actor, jang dong-jik, i guess luvjangdongjik would win over that one. yi soon shin is amazing. but just when i think i am going to make a change, i find i just can't quite part with 'luvarchfiend'.....that is why when i don't take the time to sign in i use one of the others. however, i reserve the right to change my mind at any time. ;D sorry for going off topic.

Thank you so very much for posting the play by play of Episode 140 of Age of Warriors which just showed in Philadelphia, Pa last night--still without subtitles. I am so very grateful to you for the time and effort you put into doing this.

I can't thank VIB & Miikey enough.
Both of you are the kindest individuals to go to that much effort. I have been taping the Korean Historical Dramas EWG, DOTE & AOW. I have converted all 200 Episodes of EWG and AOW to DVDs and will be converting all 94 episodes of DOTE as soon as I get the time. I am also in the process of putting together multimedia Ebooks with title page graphic of each episode along with a short synopsis for each of the episodes of these dramas.
If either of you need copies of any of the episodes of any of these three series I would be glad to make copies if you send me blank DVDs. Usually each DVD disc will hold two episodes. I'm missing episodes 6 & 8 of EWG and episode 17 & 89 of AOW. I believe I have all of the DOTE episodes.
I can be reached by Email at ajledoux3@comcast.net where you can get more information.
Again the two of you have saved the week with your translations. It allowed me to hold off cussing WYBE!!!

Did the AOW episode #89 air in Chicago or any other area of the US? I would love to get a copy of this episode.
