Oh, hah, hah, hah, I got really steamed when I saw this idiot calling Mikey a dumbbell--well, before I saw it was Mikey himself. I need to pay attention, but then I wouldn't be half so entertained. Bo

Frequently, the subtitles overlay the ep number, so I have to freeze-frame and look closely to make sure I have the right ep number, before I archive it. I wonder, Soju, you have said that you don't think it was worth archiving MPC, but do you think this one is worth it? Since we haven't yet seen what Mikey's dangling in front of us, at least. Do you just TIVO everything? How do you keep it, on tapes? Yes, it's just idle curiosity. Bo

I have a digital video recorder (Panasonic), which is similar to TIVO, except that it is not a service; you program it like a VCR. I don't even know if TIVO would work with ch 28, since they are not listed with TV Guide. Anyhow, I think these things are great. They record to a hard disk, and you can do editing on them. Since you need to record like an extra half hour before and after to make sure you get the whole show (and even then ), then you can just snip off and delete the extra parts, and you can delete commercials, too. Then you can dub them to DVD-R. I record in a medium quality setting, and usually can fit seven eps of a daily drama on one DVD-R. I was so didapointed that I was only able to save the finale episode of "So This Is Love" on VHS, so when I got the recorder, about halfway through "Yellow Handkerchief", I decided to archive the daily dramas, since they aren't released on video. Whether or not I'll actually watch all this stuff again is a good question. I do know from reading a couple of digital video forums that other folks archive massive amounts of all type of TV shows, and I'm sure the bulk of it just sits on the shelf. But you can say to yourself, "Hey, but I HAVE it!", and that's what counts, I guess

Last week, I really got really excited about episode #69 because, for a change, a whole lot of things were suddenly happening. The very end of that episode (final frame) was especially startling, so be sure to watch closely when it airs in Chicago. However, now that I’ve just finished watching episode #72, I have to admit that it’s begun sputtering a bit. However, at least the plotline’s still moving ahead, so I have hope for greater things from this show. Oh, hah, hah, hah, I got really steamed when I saw this idiot calling Mikey a dumbbell--well, before I saw it was Mikey himself. I need to pay attention, but then I wouldn't be half so entertained. Bo Bo, you are so funny!
