i have to say this show is off to a good start. i feel sorry for the women with cancer. this is a different side to koran drama. i have never really seen anyone go through pain like this. in yellow hankerchief they really never showed the pain go sang-min, in treatment.

I've only caught a couple of episodes but I've found this drama to be fairly boring. I'm not really a big fan of daily dramas (so that's a big part of it) but other ones like MPC, OMR and YH started off better. I don't really like any of the characters. I give them props for showing some of the things a cancer patient can go through but how many KBS dramas haven't already had someone with cancer? Then yet again we have another character that's unhappy in their current relationship and will eventually find true love right underneath their nose. They'll go through the whole process of getting together, no one approves of their relationship but they'll see things through because they have each other. If you know they're going to get together there's no need to take 50 episodes or so to get there. Also, how many times hasn't a girl pretended that she's pregnant to either get the guy in trouble or so the parents will let them get married. It's just the same characters and storylines over and over again. Too predictable for my taste. I'll take Lee Bo Young over Son Tae Young any day though.

i like this show, its way more interesting than MPC (although i miss jin-kook on my screen ) i like the whole love triangle thing, the family thats struggling with cancer and even the friend who parties a little too hard. it seems however that this drama relies pretty heavy on cliche's but what show doessent? i hope it continues like this. mpc started off great but look what happend towards the end

I do like it so far. But then again I'd like to watch paint drying compared to watching MPC again. I like seeing new faces and a couple of familiar handsome ones.
p.s. I can't stop staring at Inyoung's teeth. They are so perfect. Since I'm going through orthodontic treatment myself I can't wait for my teeth to be as nice as hers! ;D

I really like this show! What I don't like is Ki-jun's mom! I can't stand that woman!
I do feel bad for Jae-min and his ailing wife. In Yellow Handkerchief, Sang-min did hurt from his cancer, but yeah it wasn't shown when he was going thru treatment. It was shown more when he was back at home. There were 3 big scenes that I remember about Sang-min (I'm a big YH fan): (1) When Sang-min had to endure the pain the best he could while Yu-na's ballet recital was going on, (2) When Sang-min and Min-joo were having their 2nd marriage and he started to feel pain. He just collapsed on Min-joo before he could even take his medicine...pills flying everywhere as he fell, and (3) Yu-na and the music box toy. I will never forget that one.
Ok, back to My Sweetheart now! I like the plotlines. It seems very attention getting...a whole lot better than MPC, although there are times when I actually miss that drama....

LOL! I missed seeing like the last minute of episode 10 (yesterday's episode). It was where Ki-jun and In-young were standing together. They were talking and all of a sudden I got a phone call. So I'm talking with my friend and I can't even understand what's going on in the drama when all of a sudden Ki-jun kisses In-young. So what went on there?

She's telling him that she never thought of him that way and says "we're friends" several times. In essence, she's saying the same thing to him that he was saying to the rich girl. Then he grabs and kisses her. That was the end of the episode, wasn't it? I really hope she doesn't go for him, though of course she will. Isn't she the one who's been leaving messages for "wind dancer" or whatever her name is? I think she and Min-jae should fall in love after his wife dies. But if this turns out to be another Min-jae/Hyun-kyu love triangle, I'm going to be very annoyed.

I'm with galactichick! Drying paint, cracking concrete, even a traffic jam is better than back to MPC! So far this show has been a little slow but I do like most of the characters. Have ot say that Ki-joon could use a few lessons in personnel management - how can he run such a business and not be able to deal with Hee-Joo or his mother. I know he's trying to be nice, but sheesh! And his mother - aigu! She is worse than nails on a blackboard! I have to turn down the volume! I guess I am afraid that his sister won't be much better! She's a mini-whiner! I want more Jae-min and his wife and the other guy from YH who now has longer hair! Liz

I want more Jae-min and his wife and the other guy from YH who now has longer hair! Liz I agree! More Min-jae, less Hyun-kyu. That kiss was so akward looking! She's just standing there, not kissing him back, not closing her eyes. She's probably trying to find a happy place until that melon head lets her go.

That's the worst kiss ever. She's just staring him and his lips aren't moving. They aren't really kissing, just touching lips.

Ahahaha! Great line, Jenny. But see my comment about the wooden sexuality of K-drama females on the "Ki-joon just as bad as Hee-joo" thread. Hint: you can't judge their emotions by how they respond to a kiss or hug. P.S. GC, I have to disagree slightly --the worst kiss is the one Yoon-sik gave Ji-yeun on "WML" last week. He just mashed his face into hers and held her there while she tried to wriggle away. Ick.

Oh my! And while I was on the phone and saw Ki-jun grabbing In-young into a kiss, I thought In-young had told Ki-jun that she likes him too. Ki-jun is one big hypocrite! He tells Hee-joo to slow down and that she's pressuring him too much. But then he goes around and pressures In-young into wanting to be with him. She told Ki-jun she just wants to be his friend and then he kisses her. Wow. He really likes this girl! I'm sure Ki-jun and In-young make a cute couple (former childhood friends...so cute!) but I just hope In-young falls for Ki-jun because she likes him for real and NOT because Ki-jun is pressuring her into liking him.

it seems like most kisses on k-drama are kind of stiff. remember jin-kook and hee-soo's kiss on MPC? that kiss was...awkward. i could tell that Inyoung didint want to kiss him . i think she dont want to get involved because of the class problem.

I miss MPC because there seemed to be a lot more going on in the families. I know this drama is just starting, but it seems to center around Ki-joon's love dilemma. The women, except for In-young, seem like crazy, emotionally unbalanced characters. Hee-joo is so determined to marry Ki-joon that she's almost stalking him. Her mother and Ki-joon's mother are fighting like cats. Then, In-young's aunt is arrested for fighting with a younger woman in a street market. The house-guest lied about In-chul getting her pregnant, then is so slick as to work her way into the family by staying there.
Maybe we should start having surnames for these characters because remembering their names is difficult. Ki-joon's mother should be WCW for wild, crazy woman.
