Yes, that must have stung. Like she doesn't miss her at all, she's just excited about the baby and Hee-joo is yesterday's trash.

And Hee-joo's mother didn't even want to LOOK at SM. That friendship is over. Funny how embarrassed SM looked, kind of sheepish at being caught shopping for baby stuff. She's hardly fazed at anything, being Red Queen and always right. Finally Ki-joon said it: you have ruined my life! You are always interfering. So ScreechMom's response is---stunned stupified disbelief...but it's all for YOU. I predict her getting amnesia and never dealing with the effects of her actions.

And Hee-joo's mother didn't even want to LOOK at SM. That friendship is over. Even from the begining, Hee-joo's mother just seemed to tolerate Ok-jin, while Ok-jin was all gushy about what good friends they were.

Funny how KJ didn't look in the mirror when he told his mother that. Had he grown a backbone, and tell the mother where to get off; she might have backed off; and he still would be married to IY. Then again, I guess he had to go through all this to finally stand up to his mom. Sorry have no sympathy for this guy. I'm just not so nice whenever I think of KJ.

I'm really starting to like Hee-joo now. Even though I don't think Kijoon and her should be together for obvious reason that Kijoon and Inyoung really do love each other, and not to mention she's carrying his child. Hee-joo, sure has come a long with with carrying herself with dignity. If you compare Hee-joo and Inyoung side by side, Hee-joo looks more appealing, because she has no baggage, and she's so happy all the time, very perky, unlike the inyoung who's always depressed about something, and feeling sorry for herself.

Hee-joo also is thinking of what's best for IY and KJ and giving them good advice. She isn't selfish anymore.

I think it's interesting how they interplay the different social classes. My understanding is that Inyoung's family is middle class, Kijoon's family is a little higher up and Heejoo's family is very wealthy. The character of Okjin looking down her nose at Inyoung's family while brown nosing Kijoon's family. I'm guessing (HOPING) her character finds herself smarting from behaving this way on both accounts in the end... and maybe we'll see she's learned something.

If you're talking about HJ, yes I think she is finally maturing; but if it's evil SM you're talking about that will never happen. We're almost through the whole drama and if anything I think her character has remained the same, if not; worsened. I would have no respect for a mother-in-law like that. But I guess in Korea it's an accepted practice to be treated like that by the in-laws; especially if your in-laws are higher in social status; but evil SM is a bit much. She herself was once in the same class as IY's family. Even KJ couldn't controll his own mother from hurting his wives. First IY than HJ. The only difference is that HJ stood up to her MIL and evil SM didn't like it. But someone had to put her in her place. Even at the risk of being yelled at.
