Poor girl. All she wanted was for Ki-jun to love her. In a way, she did force him a bit too much. Ok, so Hee-joo is annoying, but I can't help but feel bad that she had to find out about In-young thru snooping around looking at Ki-jun's cell phone. What I am so mad about is Ki-jun's lack of decency. If he doesn't want to marry Hee-joo, he should flat out say it. He should have said it in the beginning that he's with another girl. He led Hee-joo on to go into a little fantasy of hers of getting married. What a bad man, that Ki-jun is

That Kijoon is a brute. He keeps leading her own telling her "Let me see if I want to marry you." and get he tells the other girl, Inyoung, not to continue seeing the guy she was set up with.
p.s. I can't believe he left her in front of the jewelry store. I was actually hoping he would do that since he was annoying me too!

AAARGH. I had written a message and the board erased it without posting.
I think brutish and indecent are accurate descriptors for Ki-jun. He just expects everyone to let him do whatever he wishes, but they should "be there" for him to decide at his leisure. Does anyone else think it might be because he thinks if his mother finds out about In-young, she'll kick him out? He's got his own company, he shouldn't be such a cheapie. I doubt it's family feeling.

So, as I posted on the other board, the repeat of Sweetheart did not seem to be on Monday morning--maybe because they didn't broadcast Thursday and Friday nights and are trying to keep to the regular practice of rebroadcasting the next day? I forgot to tape Monday night's episode, so can someone tell me if the ep you're talking about above was from Monday night and is the very next one in sequence after last Wednesday's episode? thanks.

That was episode 8? Hmmm. I was going to say it did air but then I remembered that I haven't checked the tape for WML monday airing.
So to answer your question. Monday 5/16 episode aired at 6:00-ish and it was the next one in the sequence (i.e. #8).
Can anyone figure what this reference is from:
#8 BURP, #8 BURP, #8 BURP

Of course it had to be from the Simpsons!
The episode is the one where they form the B-Sharps and then Barney gets a Yoko Ono type girlfriend. Barney plays his tape for the rest of them and that's all that's done. Frist the girlfriend says "Number 8" and then Barney burps.

i feel bad for hee-joo too. but i cant stand a woman that goes sniviling and crying after a man so i dont have too much symapthy for her. it seems to me that she really dont want ki -jun but she wants to win. she came to korea for a husband and by golly she's going to leave with one.

You know, Panther, that's a really good take on the situation. She is acting like a child who wants a toy, not a woman in love. Also, she seems just to want to "sew it up," maybe so she can look good at school with her friends. Not a very good reason to get engaged.

How old is Hee-joo? If she's still college-aged, she should be about 20, so I think a 29 year old man is a bit too old for her since she's infatuated with him. I see her as a rich kid who is used to getting her way, though her mother speaks sensibly to her by saying that she should just forget him.
Ki-joon is a Mama's boy who is afraid to disappoint her. I don't know why he just didn't tell Hee-joo that there will be no engagement, but it was kind of expected that they should eventually marry. Yet, he's still not on the right path with In-young, so maybe he'll marry Hee-joo as a last resort. Their marriage would be a disaster in the making.

Their marriage would be a disaster in the making. LOL! I agree! We have over-smothering Hee-joo on one side and emotionless Ki-jun on the other side.
