For those who might have missed it, KoreanWiz reports that the screenplay for “My Sweetheart” was written by the same author who also did “Yellow Handkerchief.” www.koreanwiz.org/news.htmlDefinitely got my attention, since YH was – far and away – the best of the daily K-dramas I’ve see so far (though *anything* would likely be an improvement over MPC . . .).

Ooh..that is interesting news! I loved Yellow Handkerchief! Everytime I think about that drama, I recall the scene with Sang-min dying and little Yuna trying to get him to fix her toy box...it was heartbreaking .

Yep, I think almost everybody agrees that YH was one of the best written dramas. I hope this one lives up to his good reputation.

In-young and her brother have the same parents. Little sister In-kyung is the child of another mother. Their father had an affair and brought the baby home to be raised by him and his wife, who died a few years later. In-kyung didn't know she was only a half-sister until very recently. I think you in New York have seen the episode where she found out; I hope I didn't give it away. I thought that they got to keep the rings they chose, but I'm not sure. Maybe someone else can help here.

Thanks, BAE. About the furniture, I know! ugh. That Screech Mom wants to control every aspect of their lives. "Buy this, don't buy that. Skip the engagement ceremony. Live here. Don't work. Have a baby. Don't take your wife's side." How much slack are they going to give her? I think she deserves to be confronted at this point, filial piety or no filial piety. I can't believe she gave away the food little In-young brought! That was just cruel. What a horrible woman; she really is sinfully shallow. Did you all catch that she thought IY should have brought rice cakes that were made by (I'm getting the name wrong, but I think I have the idea right) Human Treasures, i.e., human artisans designated as national treasures by the government, or nothing at all? SHEESH! She even has to argue over rice cakes. I hate, hate HATE her for what she's done in the last few days. Why doesn't someone say, "Ok-jin, your values are screwed up!" and explain to her why. Maybe some priest or monk from The Very Best Monastery in All Korea could come and give her a talking to, or some high-ranking diplomat or politician could explain to her that what she's doing is against the good of the national character. Those kind of people are the only ones she'd listen to.

ok-soon (is it?) is so cute. she covered for in-young today. well, i shudn't say covered because in-young didn't do nething wrong! she especially doesn't have to be ashamed of her father's profession. i can't stand SCREECH MOM! (i don't think i should say more about SM becuase Lucy summed up all my emotions. thanks!

Now ScreechMom is waiting up for the kids-college graduates, responsible workers, and married yet! If they put up with a scolding, I'm going to scream. In the previews, it looks like InYoung is going to walk out after many scoldings. How embarassing for SM-hahaha.

SM is so horrible. If these are the same writers for YH, I'm shocked. With YH I would look forward to watching the reruns. But this one, the only thing I look forward to is Jae-Min and In-young's family. To much emphasis is on KJ/IY and his mother. I wish they make JM have a bigger role. I'd rather see IY with JM, because KJ doesn't deserve her if he can't prevent his wife from being yelled at for no reason. He still has NO BACKBONE What say, we make our own storyline, and submit to writers. YH still No. 1 in my book for all time fav dramas.

i know, panther, tell me about i! i can't believe i'm obsessing over the mi-jung and in-chul combo. ^^ I really like the jae-min and IY pair. it's sensible and he will stand for her no matter what... he HAS backbone and not to mention the looks to back it up! ^^

i think im the only one that hopes in-chul picks mi-rung. i mean sun-mi is nice and all but i think in-chul needs to become responsible and mi-rung would help him in that aspect. plus sun-mi cant get over this "baby brother" stigma she got going on when it comes to in-chul. she refuses to look at him as a potential love interest because she's seen him as her friends little brother for so long. i think in-chul in the end will end up with mi-rung.
