Question: who did you think looked better in the swimsuit. LOL! J/k that's not really what I wanted to ask. But rather: Who do you like better.
I like Grand Aunt better. Even though she is tougher, when she says kind words, she means them wholeheartedly. The other grandma never seems to see any good side in anyone other than her family. She's not as careful with her words and that causes others' feelings to be hurt easily.

I really like both grandmas... They play off of each other in such a humorous way... and Grandpa always pounces on them if they get way off base.
GrandAunt seems more sophistated and more prone to try new things...but part of Grandmas charm likes in her always predictable negative spin... and then the reverse spin when grandpa hollers at her.
again, behind the scenes I'll bet they laugh a lot in performing these scenes.

I think Grandma is kind of cute when Grandpa scolds her-she reminds me of a child who is being naughty, takes the punishment, and knows she's going to do it again. Kind of like the kids on Malcolm in the Middle, but less destructive.

I feel sorry for Grandma who feels bullied by Gpa and Grand Aunt all the time. I think she speaks her mind but maybe an edit button in her head would be a good thing for her. I also like Grand Aunt but there's just something more endearing to me about Gma. I can't quite put my finger on it.

I love them both. They are a great comedy team, and they both have strengths that support each other's strengths (or weaknesses that increase each other's weaknesses, of course!). There are resentments between them, but they are like sisterly resentments, and I don't think either would want to do without the other. I always enjoy their conversations and shenanigans.

Older Aunt (aka young G'ma) looked hot tonight in that dress ... (the tiered dress with the fading beige/tan/dark brown)! Just for you-know-who! Tee-hee!

Oh, and why do they all call him Cha, if that's his last name? I don't think I've ever seen a character referred to that way in a drama.

My theory is that they call him Cha (let us say "surname" not "last name" LOL) because originally Duk-ja (younger grandma) referred to him that way out of disrespect, then it became almost affectionate. I have known women who refer to their sons in law by only their surnames for similar reasons.

Don't they call them by their last names anyway? Aunt from MS/MD refered to Kim Kijoon as Kim-soban.

I think you are right, Gal-ck, but I felt that there was some element of disrespect in the address to Cha by Duk-ja, and that is why the translator (Michael) chose to call him "Cha" on screen...whoops! Almost gave a spoiler before I realized it and used the delete key! Anyway, you're probably right and I'm probably reading too much into it.

I meant Grand-Aunt was wearing that nice dress for ovaridedis24 LOL.
I always assumed they just called him "Cha" b/c his firend (younger g'pa) called him that like some people do that here in the states, as a nickname. I was totally guessing that, no actual reason to think it.
