Darn, can't spell youngest brother's name ?Sangsik? Anyway, is Hana stalking him? It creeps me out to see a woman (or any person) acting that way. Learning quilting so she can impress him, constantly calling him, following him, going into his bedroom in a nightgown (don't tell me that was accidental), etc. Am I the only one?

It doesn't really bother me. I think that's just her ham-handed way of trying to charm him. She is very awkward socially.

I think both Jiyuen and Hana have somewhat awkward personalities because they were only children w/only a busy ajumma to look after them.

Well, she IS acting in a fashion totally outside the pale of what everyone else seems to be doing, doncha think? I mean, in K-dramas in general, only crazy daisies (like Mi-ran and Hee-joo) actually chase boys that way. But in Hana's case, it's probably just being spoiled and getting anything she shouts loudly enough for. Hmm...I think that was true for the other two, too...oh oh!

I think that Hana put her personal pride on the shelf and figures that at her age (whatever that is, 30 something?) she figures that she's going to lay it out on the line about what she wants and go with it. She really likes the guy and figures that pride and decorum aren't going to get her anywhere anyway. She's just a "fool" for love. . .

I don't consider Hana as technically stalking him, since he has yet to convincingly tell her to leave him alone. The culture is portrayed -- whether accurately or not I don't know -- via these dramas as being hypersensitive and over-reactive to the slightest perceived slight, so it shouldn't really take more than one really good insult to make someone stop pursuing you.
I would guess that a fellow as homely and uninteresting as the Sangsik character is would be only too flattered to have someone as pretty and animated as Hana interested in him.
(Alternatively, it's only Hana's extreme good looks that cause people to tolerate her at all, no?) It seems to be an unpopular opinion, but I find her over-the-top obnoxious, even for a comedy. I imagine that she's intended to be the counterpoint to all of the others in the younger crowd on this drama, since they're all pretty drab and boring.

Oh, Lila! Thank you for the laugh. I don't think Sang-sik's much to look at, either, but I suspect that's because I dislike his personality. If I look at him dispassionately, he's kind of cute. Hana seems to think so, for some reason.
I too disliked Hana the first time I saw this series, but I'm tolerating her better this time out.
