You need an excuse to go to Korea? Sistah, I just need the money to go. Oh, that too. Me, too. I would love to go to Puroland. I hope they have some sort of Hello Kitty headdress (like Mickey Mouse ears), perhaps with white ears and a bow. Don't forget also to make a stop at the amusement park in Korea that was featured on One Million Roses.

Puroland website doesn't have any pictures of what's there. Do local stores have something that makes you want to go?

Well not necessarily, in fact it was only in the last couple of years that I found out Puroland even existed. It's just like...if you are a die hard HK fan, wouldn't you want to visit her amusement park? I guess it's kind of like when you have a musician you really like, you'd pay to go to his/her/their concert. Ahh Kitty, makes me get so emotional when I describe how wonderful she is.

When you are ready, Lucy here is a good resource: www.japanair.com/e/index.phpClick on the lower left hand side where you see a picture of a HK costume.

Thanks, GC. I always like a good HK link. About the denouement of the breakup, I feel a little weird about it. Doesn't it seem like they should be more in love now that they've been through this and nearly lost each other? But they're acting like it's more of a business arrangement than ever. The fight seems to have taken the romance out of them. I would have thought something more emotional than a negotiation-style conversation and single dry kiss were in order upon making up. But that's just me, I guess. And I wish Grandma would stop disliking all her granddaughters-in-law. I'm tired of everyone running down Ji-yeun just because she's not docile. You'd think she was some kind of threat to the family, when they should be glad Yoonsik found his mate and that she's so capable. Just what do they think she's going to do? Really, she's more high-spirited than they're used to and so undoubtedly she will shake things up, but for pete's sake, it's not like she's a subversive element!

Thanks for the answers on the plastic surgery, guys.
Hey, is this now the only discussion thread (LOL)? I just want to say, I think that Chohee is quite a piece of work. I loved her conversation with Sangsik, when she ordered him to take a 6-day trip with him, because everything was his fault for him not "liking" her. Cray-zee.
My take on grandma not liking any G-DILs is, she's been in charge for what--60 years? Everything being done her way, once her MIL was dead? Also, it seems she had a lot of strictures put on her by grandpa ("He wants it quiet, don't chop so loud." "He doesn't like his water in that cup." Etc.) that he's now relaxing in honor of the G-DILs, much to her annoyance. Of course, there's the possibility it was just how she thought he wanted it, but witnessing what a petty tyrant he can be, I somehow think he must have a hand in how she thinks--but then again, she seems to take one comment and think it applies in every situation (like when she voted "for" Hyun-sik/Go-eun because "everyone I vote for loses").

Bo-hee (like Cho-hee), you go ahead and start that new thread, girl. I was wondering the same thing. But Grandma isn't the only one who doesn't like Ji-yeun. Hyun-sik objects to her outright, and many others have little caveats and complaints about her. I think they should all clam up for a while and get behind Yoon-sik. It's not like they know her very well, anyway. I hope she has to like save them all from a burning building someday and then they'll see. Humph. And in conclusion, if I had to take a 6-day trip with every boy who didn't like me, I'd never come back from vacation. Signed, Lus-hee

I especially think it hilarious that Hyun-sik believes he has a say in the matter. He barely got Go-eun into the house, so it would behoove him to keep his trap shut. He's just lucky Go-eun is so perfect in every way (and she really is, isn't she). Even his wife is telling him not to worry about it. He doesn't give her any credit for having a spine, which is not surprising, because they all act as if she's a moron (including Ji-yeun--I thought her "We all know your smile is pretty" crack was pretty rude). I think they're just setting up problems between the two DILs.
Fine. I'll start a "What the heck is wrong with Cho-hee" thread, Lus-hee. Tomorrow. I'll start it tomorrow.

Tee-hee! Silly. Good thing we have a new thread in which to record our more coherent thoughts.

I just remember this Lus-hee and I cracked up all over again. I'm still trying to figure out what Cho-hee's reasoning is and wonder why so many girls are after Sangsik. Supposedly.

I hear ya. The only time he's looked cute to me was the other day when he changed his hairstyle from the Mr Spock comb-forward--all points and sideburns--to a more swept-back style. (Yoonsik did the same thing recently.) He looked like the "baby bridegroom" that Hana cooed over in one of the early episodes. Not a bad-looking guy, but he's nothing to lose sleep over (in my opinion).

Now galacticchick needs to shove toranaga and tell him she's "marked" him, then laugh really hard in his face. If she wants to really be like Hana, that is.
