What do you think is going to happen tonight and in the next few episodes? Do you think the family will be able to talk some sense into Yoon-sik or that he will otherwise unbend toward Ji-yeun a little? I don't know, but I hope they don't stay estranged for very long. I hope it doesn't come to the girls having to move out.

I hope some of the elders can tell him about their past disappointments and how they got past it. Gee whiz, he's been looking for the perfect mate, found her, and guess what, she isn't perfect. Look at how the grandparents still wrangle. Actually, Grandpa corrects Grandma all the time and squelches her comments in front of everyone. Sometimes that seems necessary, but Grandma doesn't like it. She even goes home to her family sometimes.

All good points, Ginnycat. I hope they have someone with your perspective in the Kim family!

When I was watching last night and saw Yoonsik start crying after Jiyeun gave back the ring, I couldn't help but sneer at him and think that he should get over feeling sorry for himself since he was the one who wouldn't accept her apology. It seems that he was holding out some hope too and it broke when she gave it back; either that or he was hoping to keep her close to him while rejecting her and finally realized that wouldn't happen. Originally I thought they were both to blame but since he's so unaccepting of her even after she realizes what she did wrong (and accusing her that she didn't), I've switched sides (like Hana).
It's scary that the rest of the family is getting so involved now; all the younger generation at least. But they still can't knock sense into him. I have no idea what's going to happen but I hope it's interesting at least.

I was hoping that as Jiyeun walked out, saw her mother and started crying, rushign into her mother's arms that Yoonsik would walk out of the other door to Happy House and see her and cave and they would reconcile. Not what I think will really happen but it would make me happy

Boy, it's so hard to determine...Surely he must be mature enough to know that ALL relationships have their degrees of disappointment and even sorrow. YoonSik was very willing to accept his brother's marriage even though there was such upheaval due the circumstances. I want very much for him to turn his thinking around. Hanna is a riot - she just gets right to the point...And isn't it amusing that Jiyeun's mother is even trying to understand YS? good writing and good acting for sure. Everyone has had to take on very different personalities. I believe (because I want to) that YS and YJ will come to realize that their love is real... that it's a blessing ... and that they will grow stronger thru each other's differences. In two hours I may have to be preparing a different statement. Till then... ...

so I guess Yoonsik will be hopping and holding his nose till next Friday. What a funny episode and ... well ... I don't really have to change my statement too much. I just love Grandpa!

i missed the last couple of episodes, but personally, i'm glad that yoonsik talked back to jiyeun. sometimes i feel bad for him, but then, when i saw how intense it was getting, i felt bad and wanted them to just get back together. i honestly thought she wasn't going to accept him, but cute ending XD

Oh my, seriously, if she makes him do everything he named, she is an evil evil woman. That's okay, though, I think it's rather funny.
Apparently, she's teaching him a lesson: cross her and prepare to lose, being perfectly humiliated in the bargain.

hmmm.... but maybe she's teaching him to lighten up... to laugh at himself... by the time he's finished hopping and holding his nose, I would think that they would both fall into each other's arms laughing... She had this little, tiny, miniscule hint of a smile :)when she said " I'll think about it"

Hey, he volunteered! :DIt's not like it was her idea to make him do feats of strength.
I think it's turned out for the best. As I said in the other thread, this was an important fight for them to have. It brought out these not-so-good qualities in each other and gave them the chance to talk about points of conflict. I hope Yoonsik doesn't cede too much by having to beg her to marry him, but basically I think they both know now how dangerous it is to cross the other one on certain issues and they will be more careful and caring in the future.
This whole mini-story-arc was handled really excellently, I think. Unlike in the daily dramas, where characters are pretty cardboard and can be relied on to show the same one or two personality traits over and over again, WML has characters that are unpredictable and more true to life. Who could have known that fool-for-love Yoon-sik was capable of behaving so cruelly?
I love Hanna, too. When she is not being completely obnoxious, her bouncy, loud ways show her heart of gold. Aside from that ridiculous "rape" scene with Sangsik, she was in great form on Saturday. She is so honest and self-effacing. "That's right, Unni, it's because I have so few brain cells, ha-ha-ha!" And she accepted Yoon-sik's humble apology without any second thoughts--"It's OK, brother, I understand." He was pretty cold to her and yet she bears no grudge whatsoever. She's got some fine qualities.

I think it's kind of immature to be holding out to get an edge or hand-up on the other (on both parts). I hope that Jeyeun will just laugh and say she just wanted to see if he would do it.
I like Hanna too. How about when she was talking w/Aunt and Sanskik and she got in his face asking if he were from the deep country-side? LOL But the way she's been really possessive and jealous is kind of ugly. That whole scene on his bed, ugh!

SANGSIK is a little jealous and possessive over HANA as well,he certainly did not like her having interest in the possibility of doing tv commercials or the director.

I think she's gotten under his skin like a splinter through her constant pursuit of him and always being there every time he turns around. She'll eventually wear him down, I'm sure. She's already got him thinking he has something to say about what she does with her career!
