I could have killed this guy for being so vicious to Goeun. You would have thought he was the jilted guy. Hooray for Hana for standing up for poor Goeun. I get the feeling that he kind of used to like Goeun as more than a future SIL. I mean this isn't the first time that he's said he thought Goeun was the perfect woman and that his brother was so lucky to have her. Also, in Saturday's episode Goeun was saying how she and Sangsik used to go to the movies together, he used to take her to picnics, etc. Something smells like baked salmon to me. Hmmm.

The imprssion I have of Sang-sik is someone who has his whole life planned out, and when something unexpected happens, he has problems.
Which is why it's som fun to throw Lee Ha-na at him. With her, you can expect the unexpected!

I got the same feeling, GC. Not that it was anything more than a little boy's crush on her, but he definitely had some emotions invested in her. But now he is taking it too far. Between what Hanna said and what Goeun said, I think they made all the important points. He's really immature, she's still a human being, and don't do that in front of people anymore!

Geez, Toranaga, why are you singling me out? I think there are lots of people who won't like your tiny spoiler.
And I disagree with you, in that maybe they don't become "nice," but they become understandable.
"Think how I must feel. Can't you just understand me?" (tee hee)

"Think how I must feel. Can't you just understand me?" (tee hee) Bo And my other favorite line of that ilk is, "Can't you trust me?" When it's not an issue of trust but of something else entirely, like when a girl doesn't want to get engaged or stay engaged to a boy because of family trouble. Viz. Hye-ran and Hyun-kyu (OMR) and Ki-joon and In-young on "My Sweetheart." And just about every other family drama.

LOL! Too true. Or when something huge is going on with a main character such as a terminal illness and he/she doesn't tell the love interest in order to "protect them." Other than that, my favorite line from this drama is "Are my words dog's nose to you?"

Bo Wasn't it in episode 23? I recognize it as something I've heard recently. I can't remember who said it, and I have no idea what it means. I mean, I can guess roughly, but it would help to know what it means to Korean speakers.

I was referring to sanksiks grandma. i wasn't really singling you out BO but you are the .... staunchest defender of board etiquette so i figured if there was a complaint it would be from you. I am sorry if you were offended.

...I am sorry if you were offended... Yes, yes, I was offended, you did not turn your head when you sipped your drink! I think Lucy gets the title of staunchest defender of board etiquette--I was knocked down when I gave the "beautiful grandma" hint, LOL. I can see where you think Sang-sik's grandma was not likeable at the end, but I think many people will disagree with you. As for Sang-sik...we'll see what people think. He's awfully young and spoiled. At this point, it's hard to see why Hana is wasting her time with such a prude. He's even worse than Yoon-sik, he's so rude to everyone and from on his so-called pedestal of knowing how everyone should act! And him with his noisy, sloppy table habits! Aigu! Bo

I was waiting to see how long it would be till you brought my name up, Bo. I didn't really like hearing whether or not peoples' characters changed by the end of this show but get tired of protesting stuff like that and having people think I'm some kind of extremist. Thanks for bringing up Sangsik's table manners: anyone who eats like that is totally clueless and self-centered. Any number of people in his life have told him his manners are repulsive, yet he just says, "that's the way I am." I think they should banish him to a kiddie table in the living room. Hey, what's this "worse than Yoon-sik" business? Are you (GASP) criticizing my cuddly, bumbling, cheerful veterinarian friend who apologizes to the air for having naughty thoughts?? Perhaps you mean Hyun-sik. I hope so. Hmph.

I wonder if he eats like that outside the home too? I'll have to observe him in future episodes.

Perhaps you mean Hyun-sik. I hope so. Hmph. Nah, I meant Yoon-sik. You don't think he's somewhat of a prude? I guess that's the wrong word. Yoon-sik is really just extremely modest; only Sang-sik is truly a prude, so self-righteous and interested in the letter of the law. Oh, wait, I forgot--Homer whisper: Galacticchick and Jenny are prudes let's not talk about it! ;D Bo
