Hmm.. well I didn't get into Korean dramas until late 96/early 97 so I'm not sure when Moreshige drama came out here. A friend recommended it to me (in 97) and told me it was from early 95 and that I'd like it. SBS also has it dated as airing in 95. opps. ignore the above post. Hmm. If you go here it's early January of 95 and the very first episode isn't dated. Okay, so my memory isn't as good as I thought.

To carry out this delusional train of thought further, Lucy will have to look for someone named Lukie. Poor galacticchick, though. Bo (of "BoBob") I just saw this, you people are too funny. It's not that hard though, if I find a guy who's Irish-hispanic then we can just call him GaelicChico. I'll submitt our travel adventures to a program like Globe Trekker or something: Galacticchick & GaelicChico's Karaoke Korean Adventure. Or Galacticchick & GaelicChico's Super Live Japanese Shopping Extravaganza* *available in wide screen format.

Ahahaha! "GaelicChico." Good one. I don't think I want a "Lukie." My cousin's son is named Luke, and that kid is wacko.

I haven't seen him do that, but then I don't know him very well, or I wouldn't have spoken so rudely of him. He seems to be growing out of his scariness, though, and turning into a nice kid after all.

I think I met that GaelicChico guy a few years ago. He's pretty nice, until he starts swilling the whiskey margaritas. Bo

It reminds me of "Auntie Mame," when they go to visit the "Aryans from Darien" (her nephew's prospective in-laws), and the father makes the daiquiris using HONEY. Poor, hard-drinking Mame had a difficult afternoon that day.

My mom and sister think it's the most hilarious thing ever; I think it's funny. I figured you would know exactly what I was talking about. I had you pegged for an Auntie Mame fan.

No, Luce, I did not read Genius. However, this conversation made me look him up via Yahoo (I wanted to know what his real name was) and I find Powells.com has several of his books available, including Auntie Mame and the sequel. Here's their "about the author": PATRICK DENNIS, the fictional narrator of Auntie Mame and Little Me, was the pen name of Edward Everett Tanner III (1921-1976). One of the most eccentric, celebrated, and widely read authors of the 1950s and '60s, Tanner wrote sixteen novels in all, a majority of which were national bestsellers. I think I'll dig out my copy of Auntie Mame again and maybe visit the library. Bo PS - My search on Powells: www.powells.com/search/DTSearch/search?author=Patrick%20Dennis

I tried reading Little Me and did not enjoy it. I did read the Mame sequel, which I think was called Around the World with Auntie Mame and was kind of Auntie Mame redux but with his son in his place this time. It was pretty good.

Oh, my gosh, was it not the cutest thing when Yoon-sik brought her that gigantic bunch of flowers wrapped in yards of pink tulle? "P-p-p-please accept my heart." Well, I guess in real life his obvious vibe of "I'm already in love with you" would scare me off, but in the show it's adorable. Especially because in most of these dramas, the very act of dating is acknowledged to be a precursor to marriage. He's just taking it a bit farther than most.
I also think it was funny the way Ji-eun was imitating his stutter to Hanna, because she wasn't being cruel about it, just reenacting his cuteness. BTW, I wish he would go back to his old hairstyle. With it brushed forward he looks a bit like the village idiot.
