I think we're on episode 28 or 29, I can't remember. But no, no drunk episodes yet, are you talking about Hana being drunk? That's almost until the end, like around late 60s epi #s.

Aigu! Aigu! Lucy is killing me, with her hard assessment of Cha. He turns out to be so funny, sweet and wonderful, and just the guy Kyung-hwa needs (not to mention her mother and sister). It's all I can do to keep from jumping to his defense, LOL. (Just blowing off steam.)

They are going to have a very quiet courtship, they end up engaged etc. I didn't see these first couple of episodes but he does come off like that at first impression I guess. Maybe she has a Cha in her life and that's why she's so hard on him. ;D

Hiya betty, Hmmm....I tuned in around episode 30 something so I'm not really sure. And I don't really think they ever go back to the way they used to now that I think about it.

Here we sit, unable to speak. (only waxing sentimental too) As for her "Cha" - you are wicked. (That's probably why I like you.) We probably had similar opinions the first time we watched the series, we just have the god-view now, LOL. I felt pretty similarly when everyone was discussing Winter Sonata. "Hey! You stupids! You don't know anything!" I think I'm finally beginning to understand (grudgingly) the psychology of a spoiler poster. Bo

i really find it weird how everyone was against go-eun like really strongly and then they sort of like start warming up to her, but the grandma's biggest problem is hana! i never understood that..

I think it's because Goeun is a superior person, Bae! (LOL) But seriously, Hana wants to be a rule-breaker, but she doesn't want to have to live with the consequences of that. Civil dissent is a good thing when used responsibly, but part of the package is that you'll get your bottom kicked, you have to expect that! Hana is lazy and self-centered and clumsy and rude; Goeun is respectful and diligent and worthy and has personal integrity, even if she made a huge mistake. I think grandma just needed time with Goeun to get over her hurt; Hana and Grandma probably could never come to an understanding, because Hana doesn't even try.

hey guys. i was wondering about something. remember when hana and ji-yuen were playing with baby Joon. hana commented that the baby looked like the middle son even though he's not his father. so my question is: is the middle son actually the biological father of joon? thanks~!

No, betty, they were saying, he could *pass* as the son of Hyun-sik, because he looks so much like him. This would be important in a country where the children of a previous marriage were not normally welcome, they were trying to be nice and say he'll fit right in with the family and anyone who meets him will not be able to say he's not his new father's son. I think the birth father has given up rights to Joon, so perhaps he's allowed Hyun-sik to put him on the family register; I can't remember whether that happened or not. Hyun-sik would not be able to do that without the birth father's permission.

I'm not watching the drama (but I've already seen it) so I'm not sure what point you guys are at but I don't think it should be too long. In your other post you said the grandma is starting to warm to Go Eun so I think it'll probably be worked out soon.

A spoiler posted by toranaga and moved here by Bo:
LATER in the series when grandma and third floor GM and younger grandpa's wife discuss the wedding.she says that all three brother's married women just like themselves,I really did not see Hanna and sangsik as just alike until I saw the episodes I missed when it aired two years ago.HANNA has the same high moral code as sangsik, they both love comics and both have outgoing personalties.their only real difference is sangsik's strict adherence to tradition which Hanna hates. ALL that said I never liked sangsik for hanna, IMO he never really expressed enough of his true feelings for Hanna except a change in his facial expressions when she was on the verge of tears because of him later in the series.I really did not like them getting married, but he was the only one left,so i guess there was no choice.
