I created a thread about this before but I thought I should create a more detailed one. Japanese ArmorsWorn by Foot Soldiers. The flag on the back is called sashimono. The flag was a representation on showing who side he was on or his identitiy in the battlefield by writing his family name or his master name. Worn by Japanese Officers Wardrobe of a christian samurai. Konishi wore one in a past episode. The white collar is called raffuru. Worn by upper class women Chosun ArmorsWorn by Chosun Officers Worn by the King's guards Worn by Chosun soldiers Paddings used inside the armors Worn by foot soldiers Royal costume of upper class women in the Chosun dynasty. Its called wonsam. the red are for queens and the green are princesses. Worn by civil officials Ming ArmorHelmet used by Ming Officers The first image is from early ming. You can see from the second image that the introductions of firearms in the late 16th century change the armor drastically. Emperor Wanli s steel armor and helmet Worn by Ming Calvary to protect from firing arrows.

Thanks, Skinz. A question. . .were there any colors that were reserved for certain groups or individuals? Such as purple for kings only, as was in some European kingdoms?
