Hi, Sinior Addict aircraft carrier? even Japan and China doesn't have any aircraft carrier we can build VLCC, LNG carrier, FPSO etc. but we are lack of tech and money concerning Naval ships. that's why we have 32 Mk41 VLSs on KD2 destroyer not 64 VLSs. money was the problem. It's like YSS drama. politicians are morons. they believe strong army can protect their country. but S. Korea is world's 11th export country. we have to protect sea line. in the future we will have aircraft carrier but now we have to build destroyer and submarine power. well, gotta go Adios!

more type 209 subs Korean navy 209 class submarine proved their ability in 98, 2002, 2004 RIMPAC. and she navigated 30000 mile trip to and from Hawii on her own. That was 1200ton submarine.

Greetings. Actually the PLA Navy is planning on building an Aircraft Carrier or refit old former Soviet Aircraft Carriers the Kuznetzov class Varayag and the Kiev class Minsk and Kiev Aircraft Carriers. Check it out: “PLAN Aircraft Carrier program”“Aircraft Carrier Project - People's Liberation Army Navy”They also bought Australia’s retired HMAS Melbourne for scrap but their ship architects and engineers inspect the ship first to study it before they scrapped it. They have the money and resources to build an aircraft carrier but they’re currently studying it first before they decide what type of carrier they want and what type of techonology they want installed. A regular CTOL carrier (Conventional Take Off and Landing) like the US’s aircraft carriers or a ski bow like the Soviet and British Aircraft carriers. The Japanese are also planning on building two small Aircraft Carriers. I’m not sure what the tonnage is going to be but it will be small probably and it’ll be a helicopter Carrier like the British Royal Navy’s Aircraft Carrier and the US Marine Corps’ MEU Aircraft Carrier or the former Soviet’s helicopter carrier the Moskvas. China and Thailand are the only two countries in Asia that have an aircraft carrier. China wants a bluewater navy in the next 30 years. For more info check Federation of American Scientists’ website.

hi ronin!
Minsk aircraft you mentioned above was first bought by korean company as scrap metal. but the company couldn't disassemble the Minsk because their was huge protest from locals. so Minst was sold to china. I heard china is planning to build aircraft carrier. I think its shape will be similar as soviet aircraft carrier. but koreans prefer western design carrier. ;D
that is osumi class you mention as japanese helicopter carrier. but I thoutht helicopter carrier is not a aircraft carrier. we also started building helicopter carrier in Hanjin Shipbuilding in Busan, S Korea.
bye~

Answer to my question above!
DDG 958 Wang Gun have 32 VLS on the left not the center. because we will install our own VLS. in it we will set land-attack cruise missiles and ASROC we designed.

Hi skinz! It was July 12th. You know what, we invited Chinese, American, Japanese high ranking military officer but Japanese didn't show up. They were frustrated by the ship name Dokdo. They believe Dokdo(or japanese call it Takeshima) is their territory. What a idiot!

You sure know how to post a lot of pics, level.
I suggest to minimize the size of some of your pics if your gonna post so much.
anyway, can you get a pic of the SS 067 Chong Un 1998 Daewoo, Korea?
I saw episode 78 and they said that Chong Un was given honors with having a sub named after him since the King didn't grant him no merit.
