Oh Bo, you are so funny. A sprinkler? That sounds funny. I like the commercial with the ringtones with Chewy. I saw a Darth Vader mask voice changer. I have to get that for my bf. He would laugh with that one. Darth Maul was my favorite character so all of my fun stuff is Darth Maul. My fav toy is the talking DM doll (action figure) It's a foot tall. I think all this going nuts with all the characters from all the movies is due to this being the LAST one. Burger King has 30 different toys! I have of course the DM little figure with the viewmaster thingy. There's a picture of it next to HK on the HK thread in the generals board.

This weekend, my nephew was telling us that he had seen the Star Wars movie and he started to tell us the ending. We all shouted, "NO!" and he said, "But I already know what happened in the end!" He thought we were concerned that we would spoil the end for him. (He's 12.) That's hilarious Bo! Sounds like something I'd get confused on!

They do seem to be marketing this episode more shamelessly than usual. What sort of doesn't sit right with me is all the junk food tie-ins: candy, soda, fast food (although I do like M&Ms...and have a Lord of the Rings glass from Burger King - hey, they have vegetable burgers!)

Darth Maul was my favorite character so all of my fun stuff is Darth Maul. Chigirl, I have a Darth Maul highliter. His (giant) looming devil head is the cap, and the body of the pen is, well, his skinny body! Have you seen the new foot tall Emperor figure? Impressive. There's also a new talking Yoda with realistic moving mouth. Last Christmas, I bought my nephew the Darth Vader bank that plays his theme and talks. Anuyone have Star Wars toys from childhood?

I do Eowyn. Up in the attic I still have stashed away the AT-AT walker, as well as the Slave II (Boba Fett's starship). I haven't been up there in a while . I should see what else is collecting dust in the attic ;D.

I wonder what the 45 year old Star Wars fan would say to the 25 year old and younger fan ? Do they like the same episodes, think alike in terms of favorite characters etc.? George Lucas has done a great job of linking old with young fans of the series. Great way for parents and children to bond. I can imagine a converstaion..."Hey son, I used to play with those Star Wars action figures when I was your age." lol

I forget. Is Darth Maul really Darth Vader in an earlier incarnation? This was in Episode One, wasn't it?

Darth Maul was a sith lord before Vader. Yes Maul is from Ep. I the phantom menace. There are always 2 sith lords. One master and one apprentice. more info on the sith lords: Sith Academy OR data bank

Up in the attic I still have stashed away the AT-AT walker, as well as the Slave II (Boba Fett's starship). That's cool, seven stars! I bet the AT-AT walker is big/tall! I always liked Boba Fett, because I thought his armor so cool. I have childhood Star Wars toys too. I have many of the figures filling up the Darth Vader carrying case. Yoda is in the the weapons compartment! Remember the tiny guns? And Yoda came with a plastic orange snake that went around his neck. My figures also are in the attic - over at my parents house. I shall bring them home one day. My condo is small so I've been looking for a place to keep the case. I think under the bed. My brother (he's 34 now) had the Millennium Falcon, the Death Star (with trash compactor: the garbage was pieces of foam, and there was a crank to close the walls in), the land speeder, and a tie fighter. We both also had tontons (sp?). My brother likes to re-tell the funny story of how he risked his life in a crowded department store, fighting back hysterical ladies, just to snatch two tontons (one for me, one for him) from a display before they were all sold out!

I never really collected Star Wars toys. I did have the trading cards way back when. Those are long gone. Along with the Charlie's' Angels trading cards. All the Darth Maul stuff I have is from my bf's brother. Now he is a collector. He even went to the last convention in Indianapolis.

How do you find out about this stuff? That's cool, seven stars! I bet the AT-AT walker is big/tall! I always liked Boba Fett, because I thought his armor so cool. I have childhood Star Wars toys too. Yes Eowyn, I can still remember the Christmas morning on which I received the AT-AT twenty-some years ago. We didn't have a whole lot, so to get such a large "toy" was truly exciting at that point in my life. I certainly would have been envious of your brother with the Death Star and Millenium Falcon, had I known him as a child. Those two pieces were large and intricate models. I also had a tonton Eowyn. It had a hatch in it's back so that you could place the action figures inside of it, giving the appearance of the figure riding the tonton. I can't believe the mania that sometimes takes place in toy stores. When I was a teenager, I used to work at KayBee toys. In one instance there were a group of ladies who ran over a child to get their hands on the last "Holiday Barbie" on the shelf. I missed the "Tickle Me Elmo" craze, but I was unfortunately privy to "Furby" mania.

My first Star Wars toy was a 12" Luke Skywalker plus a similar sized Muhammad Ali doll. I would always have them fight to the death. But I can't seem to remember if my Skywalker doll ever came with a light saber. lol. I even remember feeling jealous because all my friends were collecting the small action figures. When only day one of my classmates brought in a millenium falcon, I nearly dropped the floor. hahah. I always felt I was left out of conversations when my friends like to brag, "I saw Stars Wars 10 times" because I hadn't seen it once. My first Star Wars movie was "the Return of the Jedi". But luckily a couple of years later my neighborhood movie theater happened to re-show a Stars Wars/Empire Strikes Back double feature matinee for only 5 bucks! It was still cheap even if it were the eigthies!

What's sad about my brother's mint condition Star Wars toys is that his son, at a young age, asked to have them and, much to my mother's disapproval, he gave them to him along with all his figures, and it came to be that with him being so young and with later moving and divorce, they became officially LOST! Yes! one had to shove the figures down the hatch in the tontons back! So funny to hear your Kaybee stories! Moreshige, so glad you got to see that double feature!

The double feature does sound like it was fun. I will always remember seeing the first Star Wars in the theater. This was the first movie that I saw that the sound made the theater shake a bit. Especially in the beginning. That was really something for an 8 year old.
