Illujin--You can see the last episode on Tuesday morning at about 9:30. And again Saturday morning at about 2:30.
As for noticing JS in the scene with Yujin and Sanghyuk and the baby, see my reply #6 from 2/27. Others noticed it as well.

Number one, it's absolutely not fair that Joon-sang has to be blind after already having so many difficulties. it really haunts me that they had to wait 13 years to be together Number three, about 4 episodes ago they vowed to each other SOLEMNLY that they would never be parted again. If Joon-sang had not forgotten something (he was only returning for a moment while the guy waited in the golf cart), HE WOULD HAVE MISSED HER. That is just too cruel to contemplate. Why, on the basis of a fluke meeting, is it now OK for them to stay together? The plot fell apart for me the moment Joon-sang found out he wasn't related to Yu-jin and DIDN'T immediately fly to her to tell her. It was the corner of a head and shoulders, Joon-sang's spring coat and hair the same color as his. I have no idea what that was supposed to mean, but I looked at it several times and it definitely was there. Then, when the friends went into the apartment building, Yu-jin stopped and looked at that spot for a long moment until Sang-hyuk prompted her to come in. Every point Lucy said I have been thinking. I was so upset at the end of the series--I felt cheated and although there was so much that I loved,I felt that the characters were simply unbelievable towards the end. And I,too,"saw" Joon Sang sitting on the bench. I didn't think of it as a ghost thing,tho...more of an artistic license being taken with the idea that js was there with his friends in spirit,if not body. This is a great series and I've enjoyed almost every moment! Hate to see it end!

I have to say I almost enjoyed reading everyone's post about the last episode almost as much as seeing it! I wish they would have added just a bit more at the end-- like Yujin and Joonsang catching up with what had happened since they last parted or how they were going to "go off into the sunset together" and what the future may or may not hold for them-- I felt like a huge build up for them to get back together and then a bog let down because we don't really get to know how they react to finding one another again-- I did like they way they filmed the end with the beautiful sky in the background......

I feel Yoonsang knew there were great risks with this operation, that he may die or lose his vision. Because he loved Yujin so much he did not want her to suffer whatever the outcome of the operation. That is why he wanted Sanghyuk to take care of Yujin, that Yoongsang knew he would take good care of her. That is also why I think he told Yujin emphatically that they could not be together. I feel that is why he did not tell her that they were not related as soon as he found out. His love for Yujin was that deep and compassionate. He probably felt he was protecting her from more sadness if he had died or lose his vision. Which is why he may not tried to find her when he did come back to Korea for visit.

It's so sad to see this board move into the "Off Air" category. Now that I've had time to process it, I am most of all glad that they decided to have them stay together. I am in no state of mind for sadness and tragedy. But they way they did it was pretty awkward and unsatisfying, keeping them apart until literally the last moment of the entire 20-something hours of the series. All that drama and back-and-forth and love triangles and frustration, and then all that happens is they find themselves in the same place at the same time and whoops, "The End." Urgh. It's not really enough to overcome all the negative things that they went through before. I feel that I need more time with them to see that they become happy and fulfilled and establish a life together. This way, I still keep thinking that originally Joon-sang was supposed to be dead at this point, and it's like the writers never really committed to the idea of a happy ending. It feels like they said, "Sorry, we ran out of time; we saved Joon-sang for you, but write your own happy ending."

It's so sad to see this board move into the "Off Air" category. Hey, seeing that we kept Phoenix thread alive for as long as we did, I think we can surely think of other things we liked/disliked about this drama.

Well, I did ask the question a bit earlier: Do you think Joon-sang will move back to Korea or Yu-jin will move to the US? I am interested to hear opinions.

I think they will stay in Korea. Reason #1, patriotism. Reason #2, what is there in the U.S. that would hold them there? Also, Cherin will end up marrying a rich banker.

Well I think they are going to stay there in South Korea, for the simple reason that they have that beautiful house there. Now who wouldn't want to live in their dream home? Better yet who knows a guy that will built the love of their life a dream house? But yeah I think they will definetely stay in South Korea, and have about 2 kids.
And hey who knows maybe Cherin and Sanghyuk will end up together. They've known each other for years and they're both single.

I think they will stay in S.Kor., too. I agree about the house, plus Joon-sang just plain has more ties there. I wonder what would happen to the US branch of his company. Maybe he'd send the colleague there to handle things. I don't see Sang-hyuk and Cherin getting together somehow. I think SH needs some cute little young girl (about 24, now that he's 31) who is as funny and playful as Yu-jin was when they first met and who would adore him. He's certainly got the looks. (backstabbing little cutie-pie.) Cherin needs a rich guy who may or may not adore her but will shower her with jewelry and make her feel like the princess she thinks she is. (And to pay for the plastic surgery when she eventually feels she needs it .)

I agree with Lucy's assessment of Sang-hyuk and Cherin, but I think they really should get together. They clearly care for each other, SH is about the only one who tried to get her to stop drinking. She always goes running to him for help and information. And he knows all of her bull-s, and she knows all of his. They're perfect for each other.

Oh, oh, and what about Yu-jin's boss and Joon-sang's "sunbae"! They should get together. They were really cute together, like Hepburn and Tracy.
Does anyone here (besides me) think that it was Yu-jin's roommate, and not her sister, who had the baby?

Her roommate (can't remember her name) picked up the baby and said something like "come to your mom." She ended up with the vet guy, Yongkok. It was definetely NOT the sister.

This episode was mind-bogglingly awful. First of all, the whole thing about them finding out that they’re not brother and sister, and then still not reuniting. What happened to them being madly in love with each other? I mean, Joonsang was even going to marry her even when he thought she was his sister, so you would think the first thing he would do when he found out would be to run to her and tell her. But he doesn’t. Why not? Yeah, I know about the surgery thing, but why would that matter? Why wouldn’t he tell her about that? If you supposedly loved someone so much, why would you not tell them about that? What’s the big deal? Especially if you think it might be life-threatening, I think your one-time fiance has the right to know about that, and keeping it from her would be way more hurtful than telling her about it. And then why would Yujin not follow him to New York? She could just visit him, and still go to France anyway. But they made it look like after she went to France that they had no contact whatsoever for three years. Why why why why why? This makes no sense. It makes less than no sense. Don’t they own phones? Have they ever heard of email? Yujin couldn’t stop thinking about him for ten years, and then she just completely ditches him for absolutely no reason for three years? Did the writer and director start doing crack towards the end of the series? What planet is this all supposed to make sense on? Definitely not Earth. The only way they could have possibly made this episode worse would have been to kill off all the characters or something.
The series was so great at the beginning, it really makes me mad that they decided chuck it all in the garbage at the end. They kept dragging it on and on for no reason, and then they don’t even bother to provide any resolution for anything. I really would have liked to see how the characters’ relationships changed after Joonsang found out about his real father, that Sanghyuk was actually his brother, Yujin wasn’t his sister, how their friends responded to this, etc. But instead we get that idiotic plot device about Joonsang going blind that served no purpose whatsoever. And then that unbelievably lame, tacked-on ending complete with photography that looked like the cover of a bad romance novel.
