All my favorites aren't actually used as pickup lines.
I love "hey baby, what's your sign?" for its cheesiness, especially when delivered by a man with an open shirt, a hairy chest and one of those big gold pendants - basically the whole 70's deal. But of course you only see that in movies. (Eric would totally try to pick up a chick with that line.)

I thought that was just the kind of thing some Disco Stu would say. I'm with you, Alexa on the repulsion of "Hey girl can I get your number?" Once I was at the mall and this teenage kid says to me, "Hey my friend wants to know if he can holla' at you (or was it to you?" and then it took me like 10 minutes to figure out what he was talking about.

No one would actually say that (except Eric) which is part of the reason why I love it so much. Too cheesy.

GC, I want to laugh out loud so bad ;D but I'm at work, I'm suppose to be working, not being online.
What annoys me is when you're just walking by, minding your own business and some guy is like "hey girl, hey girl." Like I'm actually going to turn. They don't know how to talk and they are so disrespectful (at least by my neighborhood they are). I use to get into arguments with them, call them a few names, now I just ignore them.

A couple of weeks ago, on that night it was really snowy all afternoon and evening, I was walking along the street trying to keep the snow from blowing into my clothes, and some guy walks by and says something like, "hey, mami . . . " In a low, disgusted voice, half to myself, I said the obvious thing about, "I'm not your mommy." So what happens? He tries again, but calling me "chica." Hahahah! Whatever will work, right? Nice job thinking on your feet, buddy. The funny thing is, I don't see how I could have looked like anything but a swaddled up monstrosity, not some sexy young chica. He must have been lonely.
p.s. Galacticchick, my hat is off to you for the acerbic comeback. LOL

Girls, you could be wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt and guys will still act like that. I think they do it because to them it's a game, see how many girls they can get.
If a guy came up to me in a nice manner, you know, introduced himself, instead of the "hey girl" crap and was respectful, even if he wasn't my type, I would be nice to him.

No kidding, I'd be polite in that (impossible) situation too. You have to wonder, though, about the guys who have nowhere else to meet chicks, except on the street.
I wish I had the guts for cutting comebacks ... I just pretend not to hear them. I'm impressed.

I wish I had the guts for cutting comebacks ... I just pretend not to hear them. I'm impressed. Ignoring them is the best thing to do. Any type of reaction they can get out of you (even when it's negative) is funny to them. So when you ignore them completely they feel stupid. The last time I responded to someones comment, was at a car passing by. The men in the car said something dumb to me so I started cussing them out. You know what they did? they all started laughing. Thats the last time I said anything. Men that act immature like that and are so disrespectful are not worth my time, even if it's to cuss them out. Thank goodness not all men are like that. Or else this world would go mad!!

You know, if all men were like that, then no women would date them. So until we're cool and can apparently create babies in a lab with two eggs, we can't get rid of men completely (like that show I saw on SciFi once where that happened but then a woman created a man with spontaneous generation and everyone accused her of being a closet hetero - I don't recommend it).
And also, we need to invent that spider-killing, jar-opening, tall-place-reaching machine. Wait, we've already got the ladder, so one down, two to go.

I think that he was involved with a lot of women by default - as in they wanted to date him so they created a relationship. Like Cherin. I feel like he just sat back and watched it happen but didn't really feel anything for them. But now that he's in love with Yujin he gets to be sweet. He has been soul-searching most of his life. He wants to know what his connection is to memories he can't explain... And i think women are his answer. Sometimes cake (cheesecake) helps me live with the hardships of life and MH probably just needs a woman, a partner, to be by his side and guide him when he's going astray.

I was chatting with my American friend when he said it is freezing like the movie "Day after Tomorrow". I told him that he shouldn't make such an exaggeration - until I read the news about massive snow hit in the U.S. I better apologize the next time I catch him -_-;;; And speaking of Min-hyung.. IMX, the Japanese agency of Korean actor Bae Young-joon has come up with the latest item for the his fans in Japan - dun dun dun~ The Joon Bear!!! blog.naver.com/airclan.do?Redirect=Log&logNo=40009840006Can you see the photo clearly? Isn't it cute? I fainted..! Well yeah, many people commented it looks more like a lion with the hair-do. Anyway the news said only 5,000 will be made exclusively, has its serial number, costs 28,900 yen and already they're getting calls..! One foot bears the signature of Bae. And speaking about teddy bears, here's another crazy idea from New York. shop.store.yahoo.com/vtbear/crazyforyou.htmlI heard that it stirred controvery over making fun of seriously ill patients.
