But all cabs say that (Free Interpretation), even the ones in Seoul. I doubt that that's really true though.

Blast! Well, I suppose the rude-American tourist bit would always work. So I'll go there and speak English, but speak it really slowly and LOUDLY so that they'll understand me.

...lots and lots of orange trees on the street. You can stop your car and eat them on the spot for free - it's part of tourist policy but you're not allowed to pack them.... You might find orange-chocolates and persimmon-colored dresses in the souvenir shop.... Something about "persimmon-colored dresses" really piques my "oooooooh, cool!" response. Didn't someone on Dae Jang-geum get into trouble for eating the oranges on Jeju Island? It sounds wonderful! I guess they solved the fresh water problem since DJG's time . Thanks so much, alanna.
