I'm beginning to think we'll never see the IYSS dvd's, much less the OST

That would be quite a shame. Should someone call the contact number on the KBS site and ask them directly?

how much is 170,000 in American currency? I wish we were able to buy the OST separately. I probably won't be able to afford the dvd's

It's approximately 170-173 U.S. dollars, depending on the current exchange rate. Frankly for a series that long plus the soundtrack, I don't think that's bad at all - and I'm so excited! ;D

Does it comes with English subtitles? I'm sure everyone wants to know. 3. Sorry, one last question if I may, is the DVD set zone free? Thank you very much! ukfan ps. I'm not only DJG mad I'm k-drama mad! ;D

$173!!??!! That's it? I really thought it would cost more money then the DJG dvd's. Well if it's only $173 I can definetely afford it. I am so excited, I can't wait til it comes out. I actually emailed yesasia asking them to let me know when the dvd's are available, but they had no idea what I was talking about.

Hi there, ukfan! No worries, you're not butting in. I posted the news tidbit for everyone. ;D But I'm not sure of all the specifics myself as I'm only relaying the info I read at Twitchfilm.net. Most of my answers will be vague or speculation. I don't know how many DVDs will be in the boxset, but it is an edited version so it will not be as long as before (perhaps back down to the original 100 episodes?). KBS has been releasing all their Kdramas with English subtitles, and these days most Asian DVD releases do cater towards the international market - so my best guess would be there will be subs! However, it will most likely be released with the set Region 3 as it's the official Korean release. I know that probably doesn't help much, but... *shrugs* Oh, I know what you mean, Alexa; I was also figuring on spending about $400 for the entire series! Although, I'm sure the international retailers will jack the price up to at least $200 or so. Importation shipping fees are a killer. YesAsia handles more Chinese releases of the TV series, I think, so they will not have it until after the fact. You may want to ask a seller that is actually situated in Korea, like AsianDB... Thanks, ~ Heather

It is possible that the subtitling used in the boxed set series will be different than those previously seen on the television series.
As far as the zone setting is concerned, there are many inexpensive dvd players available in the U.S. that will play dvds set for foreign zones. This may or may not be the case in the U.K. but hopefully the information is helpful to someone.

This is wonderful news to hear. Though it is a shame that they will be editing out some episodes. They should leave all the episodes in. I am glad they are including the OST with the set though. Hopefully they'll include episodes 105+106 in the set. Do these box sets usually come with any extra features on the DVDs? I hope they do in this one. Also, I am suprised how cheap a box set for this show is. $170 for all those episodes and an ost? That is a pretty good deal.
