Just watched episode 82 when the king sends his son to get rid of YSS and of course he doesn't,but the japanese and the ming guys are plotting and I can't stand how they treat YSS.And the wimpy king sent Won Kyun a secret letter more or less telling him to get ready to take over. I hope that never happens.Your right that fort scene was like the ones in LOTR.I loved that whole series, esp Aragon. I really like the prince also,I would have thought Yi-youngnam[sigh] would have went over to YSS navy since he really doesn't seem to care for Won Kyun

;DI just watched one of the best episodes of YSS that I have seen yet. He fought to have them take the military exams and it was beautiful! Han-su and his father, they were so happy, and young-gap made me cry cause he didn't believe he could make it.Finally there was an upbeat episode! I can't stand minister yoon, what a rat!! thanks

Hey, normabaylis51. I see that your close to a certain event that will REALLY make you starting tearing up, my advice is to keep a Kleenex box near to you.

I see what you mean! After last night's episode, this one was a kicker! First the poor people who became cannibles, and then the pestilence!Minister Oh and that young guy whose name I can't remember but he was in episode 33,I hope they can be saved. From the previews it looks like it is going to get worse. thanks

He didn't see people according to their social class, but saw them as human beings. Thats what I loved about him. He was way ahead of his time and even today people are still judge by their economical and financial level. Minister Yoon was a punk. There were some times when I thought he was turning around and realizing his mistakes, but I was wrong. He is a selfish and greedy man. I really wish that somebody would've beat the crap out of him.

:'(Just watched episode 87,when they are getting ready to arrest YSS and I have to say, after many warnings I don't think I can watch next Fridays episode.I don't understand the king at all! With Won Kyun we know it was jealousy and ambition, but I don't get the King, unless it was the same for him. I feel so sorry for the men who are going to lose their leader and get put in the hands of a madman.I myself just don't think I can watch it.I am too emotionally tied to this show as you can tell by my many posts about it.I know it turns out good but I don't know if can travel the road to getting to that part.thank you for listening'''

Well if you do plan to watch the episodes following his arrest, you're really going to need the kleenex. The following episode has been called by some "The Passion of Yi Soon Shin." So be warned. I don't understand why the King would have him arrested. I guess the King was just afraid of him, afraid that Yi Soon Shin would try to overthrow him and take over.

That's exactly why the king wanted to remove YSS. He was paranoid that YSS was getting too good for the people. And that the people would love him less and love YSS more to the point of possible rebellion was what drove him mad. Still, the king's an idiot.

Get ready for Won Kyun to take over the navy.....and then the inevitable. You'll feel a host of emotions. At least, I did. I felt angry at Won the bum, the king sunjo the bozo, minister yoon the goon, sad for YSS, the navy, the people..., then at one point I even felt I understood Won and felt sorry about his tragic end. After this initial phase which I call the pre-Won phase, things will gradually get back to normal (post-Won phase). PS. save a whole box of tissues just for the very last episode.

Thank you both for helping me through this long journey with this series.I agree I believe the wimpy king is jealous and he knows that he is a coward and that no way does he compare with YSS.As for Won Kyun,I can believe you can feel a little sympathy for him as he didn't start out bad.I am going to try to watch it Thurs with his arrest and how his men take it but as for the actual torture scenes I don't really think I can take it.

:'(Well, here I go again. I can honestly say I have never admired anyone as much as I do the character of YSS.How he handled himself tonite, and how he handled his men who just didn.t know what to do was amazing. And finally Yi-youngnam has shown how much he loves YSS.I was glad he gave him his sword. Those two are alike in many ways I think. I still don't know if I can watch it tomorrow night, but I probably will as I don't want to miss a second of this masterpiece....

Norma, you're going to have to refresh my memory. What happened in the last episode that you saw?
I do remember YSS giving his sword to Yi Young-Nam, but don't remember what else happened.

???After he gave him the sword,YSS made them all write and sign a promise to obey the new admiral,of course that was worthless Won Kyun,Then they all stood there as they take YSS away with all the people following the cart. But I did watch 89,hiding my eyes almost as much as I watched.I cannot believe he lived through all the torture and the King let him go saying he was dying anyway! And all his men being sent away by kyun except for Kim Wan and my Yi-youngnam and they didn't want to stay but they did.Oh,it was so heartbreaking. Please tell me it gets better!
