WOW! I'm impressed. I didn't think they would show Nobunaga since he was alive until 1582, But they did. Great Job producers. And we see Toyotomi history. Fantastic. Can't wait till episode 18 to know what the hell was happening.

Where are you located? I don't think you're in Chicago since you obviously seem to be further along in the show than we are.

he is in New York. As am I. We are behind Chicago. But, he is watching the free VODS, on KBS' official website. Korea is way past the ep.28, and they put the episodes for free online {not subtitled} so we can see it. I'm not sure how he knows it's Nobunaga. I would think he was dead at this point in history.
FEDERAL DAY OFF! HECK YEAH!

Like ID said, I'm in New York and I watch some of the further episodes on their websites. I'm not sure how he knows it's Nobunaga. I would think he was dead at this point in history. Remember, episode 18 is still during Yi Soon Shin younger days. Nobunaga was still alive until 1582 and in Yi Soon Shin were in the 1560s, since that's when he learns his martial arts stuff. The thing I don't understand is how come Nobunaga have gray hair already? or maybe my screen was messed up? And in the video, you can clearly understand when someone said Nobunaga-sama. Now what they was talking about is another story. Some new Info I found: Shimazu Yoshihiro, of the proud Shimazu of Satsuma clan, would defeat the ming army at Sach'on. About 40,000 chinese men will lose their lives. If you watch episode 3, you hear about it from Shimazu and how they could beat Soon Shin because of their flawless victory. And from what I read, the battle is gonna be crazy. We'll have to wait until the series is almost over to see that. See what great drama could make you do? It makes you go out and try to find some information about history.

I don't know what the time frame is for the Nobunage episodes not having watched the online videos, but Nobunaga was about 50 when he was killed in 1582, so depending on how early he grayed, gray hair doesn't seem out of reason. Regarding Shimazu's crushing defeat of the Ming army and the 40000 they killed, I believe it is the ears of those unfortunate 40000 (38000 in the two accounts I read) that were cut off and sent back to Kyoto to demonstrate the martial prowess of their army. The place these pickled ears were kept was called the Mimizuka which is supposed to translate as Tomb of Ears.

It's also known as the "Ear Mound".
Ugh! That's just sick. I doubt they'll show that.

But I thought it was the Korean peasant civilians from villages that they raided not the Ming chinese troops they had cut. I would think they would’ve cut the heads of enemy troops. I’ve read of worst massacres than what the Japanese Samurais did in Korea in the Imjin Wars like General Jubei and General Subedei of the Mongols or Tamarlane the Terrible. Tamarlane the Terrible is one of my favorite ruthless Generals. He would have bitch slap Oda Nobunaga, Date Masamune, Toyotomi Hideyoshi, and Shimazu Yoshihiro and bury their armies alive literally and lock their families in their buddhist/shinto temples or town halls and burn it down alive. His next invasion plans was China like his Mongol ancestors did but he croaked in his tent I believe.

What’s wrong with a good leader sleeping in the same squadbay in the open along with his troops or eat in the same table with his troops. That’s good leadership. Attila the Hun, Julius Caesar, Belesarius(who’s sort of like KDS to the Byzantines), and many Greek Generals during classical times gain the loyalty of their men by getting off their high horses and leading their men to the front literally from hell and back. What wouldn’t make sense is if he suddenly put his arms and legs around Lt. Kim or Dosahn (the little ill-tempered green squad leader) while sleeping.

Ah! Date Masamune. Did they ever do a drama series or movie on him. I don't know about his life story, but his armor was great. Plus he looked bada** with his one eye.

Well, 1} they aren't at war. 2} thet are in KDS' estate
