TEXTI say Kyung Dae Seung is da best cuz he has 100 men compare to a strength of 1,000 men. Takes them down without fear. Good MOTIVATION.

Well, the Archfiend could take down 1000 men on his own. KDS was a pansy IMO

Kyung Dae Syung is a true tragic hero- a potntial great leader who cared only for the people and xcould have saved them, but was crippled by his iron sense of honor and loyalty, even to the despicable emperor whom he should have destroyed.

My favorites have already been said before. ( Yi Ko, The Archfiend, Yi Ui Bang) But what about Olan? I mean she wasn't in the series for a long time, but she could kick some a** and looked good doing it. And she even bit her own tongue and sacrifice herself instead of giving Yi Ui Bang location. I don't care how strong you are, biting your tongue hurts as hell.

I had to get on both of these topics one last time.
Regardless of taste, it's my opinion that the story line of this series was at it's strongest when driven by Yi Ui Bang (Suh In Suk). The charisma of that character was beyond compare in this production, or in most others that I have watched.
He is not my favorite person in this series, but any time this conversation is started anew, I will be here to sing the praises of the greatest character in AOW.

Kyung Dae Sung, hands down. If his character had been around longer, the show whould have been better.

I too thought that Ui Bang was the most magnetic character when he was in the show. I also think that the show was at its best while he was involved because you had so many different characters trying to get the edge on one another such as Ui Bang, Chung Jung Bu, Muby, and the Empress Dowager. When Ui Bang was killed we effectively lost two of the major plot drivers (Ui Bang and Muby) and although the show remained excellent, I the show dropped off a bit in its complexity. I find it hard to pick one single character as my very favorite for the series. I think my top three are Ui Bang, the Archfiend, and the Empress Dowager, with Du Kyung Seung not far behind.

Yeah, the Yi Ui Bang story was good. But I think people like it because it was the first of the many " I fight for the people and later become a corrupted and evil dictator." KDS story was a different change of pace. We finally had someone who actually delivered on his promise ( Too bad the emperor was a idiot). The Archfiend branch was simply a modified Yi Ui Bang story. And CCH had little characters to get attached to.

Chun Kyun wrote: "the leader shouldn't fight. as then the cause would be over or not the same. for that let presidents fight or be on the battle field to give there troops moral. choi choong-hon knew the archfiend was the big tiger in koryo, and fighting him would be a waste as choong-hon will die or risk everything. when you have followers is there job to fight. you are there as moral and a leader. worse would be to leave and not be in the battle field at all."
Ah yes the Great Cause, CCH style. What a loss it would have been had he lost his cool and put all his promise and vision at risk by actually fighting in that battle. Well, I'm sure glad we didn't miss out on all the great progress of the WooBong family's Golden Age. Crowned by the jewel himself, mister warmth. CCH made Koryo secure for his valuable posterity... or was that posterior?
