sin city, contrary to the high hopes i had for it, ended up being a total, well maybe not total if not just for josh, but the movie was pretty sad. as in disappointing.

Really? I liked it. Have you read the graphic novels, Bae? I haven't, but I heard that some people who had read them didn't like the movie because it was basically a series of vignettes instead of a cohesive plot (which is weird b/c that's what graphic novels are like). But then again, I agree with the review that I read - it's good, gritty noir, if for a modern era.
After I saw the movie, I was waiting in line at the restroom and a bunch of girls were talking about how much they hated the movie. They said something along the lines of "I can never look at Frodo in the same way again!" Quite to the contrary, I thought the movie was disgustingly excellent. But then again, I like movies like that because they're not the typical hollywood movie experience. That's probably why I watch so many foreign movies too.

yeah.. have to agree with the entire graphic novel thing. if it stayed true to the actual plot, it would've been better. that's what threw me off when i saw the movie.

They tricked us. I thought that this new episode was the one that was going to be about Logan and his mom. It turns out we only got to see the crying scene.
I feel bad for poor Rory. But I'm not surprised, I mean she knows Logan is a jerk, and yet she still likes him. I bet she probably regrets having slept with him. And what's the deal between Doyle and Paris? Where they just friends with privileges too?

Yeah, I thought that the episode was going to be about Rory going to visit Logan's parents only to be rejected by his mom too. But it turns out that, that is for next week's episode ;D. I really hate Dean. Just because he's miserable about Rory doesn't give him the right to attack Luke's relationship with Lorelai. I also feel bad for Rory crying like that. Rory always goes for the bad boys. Dean (used to be a good boy), Jess, and now Logan. As for Paris and Doyle...lol! I love those two together! They were just editor and newspaper writer at first...not really friends. They fought a lot. So both of them end up running into each other at some kind of random dating thing. They find out they enjoy each other's company and end up sleeping together. ----------- So Keith knows about Dan's arrangement with Jules/Emily. He is angry and leaves town. Dan is a bit shocked with the confrontation at his office, but gets over it. Brooke is going to stay with Lucas and Karen for the summer before going to Cali with her family. She has broken up with Felix because he was the sleeze that did the bad stuff to Peyton. Nikki is back and wants custody of baby Jenny. Jake and Peyton are staying strong and want to fight for custody too. Nathan does go see Haley. Things are even worse now as Nathan sees that Haley hasn't been wearing her wedding ring. Haley tells Nathan that music is her passion and she can't leave it. Nathan is upset to hear that Haley is regretting their marriage. Nathan leaves the concert before Haley is done performing. Driving back home (?), Nathan removes his wedding ring also. Haley is upset that Nathan left so soon. *NEXT WEEK SPOILERS* Rory and Logan are not doing very well. Logan seems to be very hostile towards Rory. But they do get back together ! It turns out that Logan doesn't want to be a "friends with benefits" kind of guy with Rory. He really likes Rory and wants to be committed to her! So he takes her to visit his parents. And that's where the problem comes in. His parents don't approve of the relationship. Logan's dad has a change of heart and decides to give Rory a chance by allowing her to be an intern at his company. As for Logan's mom, she still doesn't like Rory.
-------- BIG NEWS! On Nathan's drive back home, he decides to stop and visit his sis-in-law, Taylor (Haley's older sis). Nathan is already bummed out so I don't know why he would want to have a fling with Taylor. So the viewers control the fate. We either vote a) Nathan hooks up with Taylor or b) Nathan doesn't hook up with Taylor.
From what I heard, if Nathan doesn't hook up with Taylor, he gets into a car accident driving back home. He gets into a coma and dreams about the hook up with Taylor (?) His accident is what causes Haley to leave the music concert and rush back home to be with her husband. If Nathan does hook up with Taylor, well...that would be a very bad thing.

I give it a year tops. BTW, where did you all hear that Alexis Bledel and the guy who plays Jess were going out?

I am really happy that Chad Michael Murray and Sophia Bush are married! They are perfect for each other. I wonder how their marriage will affect their show lives? Like will Lucas and Brooke get together? The on-screen couple that I totally adore is Nathan and Haley on OTH. Although now it breaks my heart to see that they are both having difficulties.
I was at Borders bookstore with my friends last month and I was reading one of those teen mags. I think it was either J-14 or Teen People. But in one section, there was Alexis Bledel's picture saying that although she rejected Bad Boy Jess on Gilmore Girls, she and Milo are "cute together in real life."

Cool! Thanks for the linky link, chigirl68 ! This will save me a lot of time and trouble of searching around for spoilers ;D! Speaking of spoilers, I found a whole bunch about the ending of the 2nd season of One Tree Hill. It's quite shocking. I'm not sure if this will be true or not...they could be just rumors...but I'll post anyway. These are quite shocking as in "Never saw it coming" kind of way so proceed with caution: *SPOILERS for 2nd Season Ending of One Tree Hill* Nathan gets into a car accident, but it was probably when he and Lucas went race car driving. Not when he was driving back home from Atlanta. So Nathan's in a coma. And in his coma, he dreams of many kind of things...this should be interesting. As for his wife (Haley), I'm not sure when she comes back to town. Some say she comes right away upon hearing the news of her husband's accident. Others say that she comes back at the last second that the season ends.
Jake and Peyton decide to leave town with Jenny. Nikki somehow gets custody of Nikki with the help of Brooke (?) I'm not sure here. So Jake, Peyton, and Jenny runaway, I think.
Brooke and Lucas continue becoming close. So I don't think Brooke helped Nikki at all.
Dan finds his wife, Deb (Nathan's mom)...ok, this is too shocking. But there has been speculation about a death in the show. So yeah.
And that's all I have for now.

Did anybody see last night's episode?
What the heck was that? They don't like her because she's going to work? Aigu! They should be blessing the union since it doesn't seem like Logan will be too good a businessman any time soon. I mean they do own a newspaper and Rory is studying to be a journalist...I really didn't understand the opposition.

Logan's mom and grandfather are both very strict and mean. And I thought Rory's grandmother, Emily was the one that was difficult . I don't know why Logan's family rejects Rory just because she wants to be a career woman. It doesn't make any sense to me either. I'm happy that Logan took Rory and left. What a great episode of One Tree Hill. I'm glad that most of the votes were for the "No Nathan and Taylor hook-up." Althought it wasn't quite a hook-up...it was a Kiss or No Kiss thing. I'm so happy that the No Kiss vote won. So Nathan doesn't kiss his sister-in-law, but he and Haley have not reconciled either . I loved the look on Nicki's face when she saw that Jenny was gone again. Peyton was smirking as well. LOL! I feel bad that Jake is in jail though. The scene where Peyton visits him was so touching.

I think Rory is trying too hard. I know she's happy to be an intern for Logan's father, but she seems to be overdoing it. It is kind of annoying. But that is great that she and Logan are doing well. The Friday night dinner was terrible. Lorelai looked so angry. I thought Logan had some nerve to steal Emily's...well whatever it was.
------ -Nathan gets into a car accident while racing. Before going into surgery, he tells Lucas to promise that he won't call Haley. -Jake is still in jail. Jenny is somewhere safe. Peyton is sad that Jake refuses to let her visit him in jail. -Dan (Nathan and Lucas's father) exposes Karen's (Lucas's mom) relationship with Andy, her professor to the class. Andy loses his job. -Deb (Dan's wife and Nathan's mom) secret of abusing prescription drugs is uncovered while she tries to donate blood to her son.
Next week's One Tree Hill should be great because while Nathan is lying in a coma after his surgery, he dreams about what life could have been. That is, what things would be like if his Dad had ended up marrying Karen and raising Lucas instead of marrying his Mom, Deb. So Lucas grows up with the luxury while Nathan grows up with his single mom, Deb.
