I decided to answer even though Lucy specifically excluded me...LOL. I'm with gal-ck. This show (MPC) STANK. I could hardly bear to watch the last couple of episodes, it was pissing me off so much.
One thing about My Sweetheart, Lucy--Xelaevoli says it gets better, so I'm going to give it a chance, but I'm not going to watch every single episode. Too much else to look at. But, I believe I've mentioned before that when I looked at the initial episode of Yellow Handkerchief, I thought it was about the stupidest thing I'd ever seen (and I hated Lee Tae-ran because of her character on WML, but I like her better on that show now, too). Next thing, I tuned into the episode where Sang-min was finally breaking up with Ja-young, and I could not believe how great the show was. I was so sorry I'd missed the beginning, even those first couple of weeks. So, sometimes, they fool you and get oh so much better, rapidly.
But, as evidenced by MPC...sometimes, they don't.

Bo No, you weren't excluded, Bo, I was just acknowledging that you also had posted here recently. I saw those "hint-hints" about MS getting better--you know how I am about people who know what's going to happen and want to tell you that they know, so I ignored them. I also accidentally saw the first words of some future plot developments somewhere, maybe on the "official" English-language site. You're right, you don't want to get tricked into missing early episodes because you think nothing's going to happen. I will stick with it but also fast-forward through the parts that I feel like I've seen a million times before. I didn't see Yellow Hankie, btw. It started way before my time with the K-dramas, so I never picked it up. Lucy

Well, yes, but let's make it clear that the "hint-hint" people do not include Xelaevoli. She's been very careful to let people know when she's giving a spoiler, and to segregate it, even under the spoiler thread, so I don't want to give her a bad rap. (She just said she decided she wanted to see it after seeing a certain website, and gave the link, so I think that's okay.) YH. Sigh. (Okay, you can hit me now.) Bo

But no one in particular is on my "hit list" for that, because it was a borderline infraction of my policy from a trusted regular. Dag, I wish I had seen YH. I would be buying DVDs of these dramas, but they always make you buy multiple disks instead of putting it all on one. With CDs and DVDs, wasn't one of the "ooh, looky, CDs/DVDs are the wave of the future!!" points the fact that they can hold a ton more data than previous mediums? hmmmMMMM? So why do they have to issue everything in multiple-disk sets? I hate capitalist bilking practices.

....it was a borderline infraction of my policy from a trusted regular. OKAY, OKAY, I'M SORRY FOR THE BEAUTIFUL GRANDMA HINT. Man, you are tough, girl! (LOL) I had to redo this, and I had an eloquent defense of DVD manufacturers, but the stupid board deleted my post before I could put it up, so the heck with them. Bo

It's not always about The Bo, Bo! LOL. It was someone else. Now, that's enough of that. I do miss looking at Jin-kook. I hope that Min-jae's role in "My Sweetheart" starts expanding. That will compensate for the loss of my skinny little metrosexual honey.

Believe me, you didn't miss anything. Plus, you have an extra 55 hours of your life unwasted, compared to us.

Wow, this ended ages ago but I have to say I'm not sure why everyone hated MPC so much. I have not seen a single KBS drama that I didn't like and so far I've seen Yellow Ribbon, One Million Roses, To Be With You, So This is Love, and currently watching My Sweetheart. Personally MPC has been my favorite for the simple fact that it was different than the rest. I was very sad to see it go, and am disappointed that there isn't an OST out yet, nor a DVD. Anyone know where I can complain about this and cause some noise? lol

Well, not here, Ryan, 'cause we HATE-HATE-HATED it! (But you knew that, LOL.) However, if you are trying to find an OST, have you tried contacting yesasia and asking if one is available? Maybe everyone in Korea hated it as much as we did, so they didn't bother to make one . Bo

Maybe we're not at the same "level of consciousness" as Ryan and that's we hate it so much.

That could be. Ryan, what is your "level of consciousness"? I am currently at level 2.5 (firmly on earth, attempting flight). Bo

MPC was an ok drama. It was like 170-something episodes, but the reason why I didn't like it very much was because of the plot. It made me roll my eyes so many times for the fact that these characters were just so damn (fill in the blank here). Especially Jin-kook's Dad who earned the name Dumb Dad. Some of the storylines were good though like bringing in Young-shil and the marriage of JK and HS.
