There's a lot of confusion about that newspaper article about ESM suing Eun-soo over his book. I just wonder who placed it into the newspaper. Is ESM's life so important that her lawyer, so suddenly, would publish an article about her DIL's brother writing a novel about her life?
Could it be that Young-lan, who is very smart, sent this article to the newspaper so as to get more sales for Eun-soo's book? It just seems impossible that her ex-husband would get a book published so quickly.
They're aware that ESM is suing Eun-soo, so maybe they put that article into the newspaper to create news that would invite more people to buy the book. With a movie in the future, they'd need a lot of people taking an interest in this story.

i think evil step mom should just work out a deal with en-soo for some money and leave it at that. no one would know unless they knew them personally. it could take years to fight in court. plus she would maybe have to go to great lengths to prove it was auctual her story.

There's a lot of confusion about that newspaper article about ESM suing Eun-soo over his book. . . This one had me a little confused, too. I initially figured that newspaper writers were tipped off by somebody (Young-lan? Jin-kook?) about the lawsuit, but that they were independently hyping the lawsuit primarily to boost their own paper’s circulation, rather than to promote Eun-soo’s book. However, (very minor spoiler here) . . . *** *** Young-shil agrees to drop the lawsuit, in exchange for the remaining gold bars, an apology from Eun-soo, and an agreement that the newspaper articles would stop. Jin-kook can’t promise an apology from Eun-soo, but he does agree to halt the newspaper articles – an indication, perhaps, that he was behind them all along?*** ***

I knew she was trying to get those out of them! She's going to leave JK and HS as broke as before and run off with the money again. Why else would she be so concerned with having everything in her name? Soon she'll get the apartment in her name too.

funny.....but she has been pretty upset about not knowing the whereabouts of those d**ned bars. take 'em is what i'd say..."you wanna be the gold hauler? Go AHEAD!"
i agree with panther up there! i mean, i've heard of submissive dil, but when their husbands are on their side, what have they got to loose? their respect... that's already being taken away from them if they continue to let people get away with the things that they do to them.

Hear hear! Everyone on this show is wacked, I tell you. They should all be thrown into a loony bin (except for maybe Younglan, though she's questionable because of her continuing attachment to Eunsoo).
P.S. Drooling over Johnny Depp here thanks to BAE.

ITA with all of you, so i say "Bring on the next series~!" Anybody know what that might be? I'm tired of everybody on MPC already. Esp. Jin-kook's family. Everybody's so self-absorbed and so **** forgiving of ESM. and will DD never learn? still sooo trusting of the woman of betrayed his family and left them bankrupt. Let's not forget hee-soo's mother. She practically has to have everything her way or the highway. And everybody else on the show spreads news to others that isnt even any of their business. ;D Forgive my rant. ;D i think the only storyline im not tired of is jihae's grandmother's sickness - ALzheimers (?) . and i no i've asked this before but where did band-aid and his stalker friend go?

Ah, so ESM is finally running away, haha! She's probably just going out to buy all the freaking newspapers so she can force them to print stories calling her the empress of nice and condemning nasty Heesoo for somehow forcing all the men in her life to be evil even though none of them actually pay any attention to her because she's just a dumb girl.
Ah, run on sentences.

Ah, so ESM is finally running away, haha! She is? I didn't watch last night's episode and I didn't bother to tape this morning's repeats. Can you tell me what made her come to this decision. Is it just her evil gene kicking in or something? Anything else important happen?

Jinkook finally gave her the gold bars. He said it was partially so he could see how much she really loved his father. She got this little evil half-smirk on her face after that. The next morning (I believe) Heesoo stood at their bedroom window and watched ESM run out with the chauffeur and the briefcase of gold bars.
It is entirely possible that she's going either to a bank or to sell them or to her lawyer's office (Heesoo even said this at first). However, I choose to believe that she's running away again.
As for anything else - the new scenario came out and the Ma/Younglan relationship is going swimmingly. Everyone's telling Jungae to apologize to ESM for her son - Minsup tells Hee's dad that Hee's actually the one most traumatized by this incident and he gasps like that's a novel idea. Hmm, you think?

I hope she really is running away, just to add some excitement to this awful show. But you know she's just taking them out to be polished or something, and will be back in an hour. Why should things get interesting now? She didn't even pack a paper bag full of scarves like she did the last time. Although that smirk looked pretty evil...

In tonight's episode, ESM took the gold bars somewhere, then was seen looking at a house, supposedly the one owned by her late brother. No one ever knows what's going on in this woman's mind. Maybe she's buying the house for herself and Jin-soo because she's afraid that she'll have to care for Hee-soo's twins. Or maybe she's thinking of buying it so that the entire family can live in a more rural setting.
I just wish that Min-sup would do something about his mother. In her condition, I'd install security alarms on their doors so that Grandma can't leave the house. Sung-Ae should have looked better in Min-sup's studio to find Grandma. It's about time they get someone 24/7 to watch her.
