ESM and DD are just about ready to rip Eun-soo into pieces. I was shocked when ESM rushed over and threw the book at HS and JK. She was really furious and for the first time, I think I would agree with her. Nobody asked for her permission to do this and it really hurt her feelings. I don't know...what do you guys think?

I kind of have mixed feelings about this except for the fact that Eunsoo, Hesoo and Jinkook are some of the biggest half-wits in the world. They should definitely have been bracing themselves for this woman's furry, instead they are actually shocked that she would react that way. Anywho, yesterday when ESM was ranting about how she's done bad things but that they should have just let it pass. It kind of made me glad that they have kicked her off her high horse. Why would she think that she would come out of this whole situation without a punishment? What has she done to atone for her sins? When has she shown any real repentment? And stupid Apey who refuses to read the book. Argh!

Just on the question of who's right and who's wrong about using her life story, I totally agree with ESM. With other considerations figured in--she had it coming!
I agree that the Nancy Drew gang are a bunch of dolts for not anticipating this, but it's par for the course. These are the people who started a film company and hired what looks like 10 people before they even have a business plan (from what we've seen). They don't even have a script. They've got a casting director, but no script. Duh.

ESM and DD don't seem to realize that this is Jk and HS life too. Too bad JK doesn't just tell them , It was a story with embellishment about my life and my wife's life . Thank you for doing such mean things to me and my wife or it would have been a boring story.

BTW, I thought that Jinkook was leaving the workers to the new guy who would be taking over his old business. I understand Mr. Lee would follow him as his right hand man, but what's the purpose of the other girl following him? There doesn't even seem to be any phone calls coming in. Why is that actress playing a wanna-be actress so bad? Why does she hang around there all day, shouldn't she be going to other auditions? What exactly is Younglan's job? Couldn't they have gotten a better wig for her? So many questions...

I think Young-lan's duties are two-fold: 1) to be the only savvy businessperson in the whole company, and 2) to look askance at, and keep track of, all the shenanigans that go on when Jin-kook is not around or not looking.

Hey, you're right. I didn't notice it consciously, though subconsciously I noted his cute, lo-cut 2-shirt combo. Funny how that happened!

When Jin-kook and Hee-soo were fixin' to go out tonight, I was thinking how stylish they looked, just to be going out to work.
But hey, if you're in show business, I suppose one must dress the part.

About the book, I'm totally not on ESM's side. She doesn't really have any rights, especially if eunsoo put the standard disclaimer on the book saying that "all characters and events in this book are purely fictional and any resemblance to living persons is purely coincidential." If he did, then she has nothing. Also, when people sell a story, it's only one person that has to do it. So if Jinkook/Heesoo did, then Eunsoo didn't need ESM's permission. They and that lawyer are the dumbest dumbsters in dumbtown if they don't know that kind of stuff.
Then again, if that happened to me, I'd be totally angry about it and try to get an injunction. But instead I'll take that as a lesson never to marry the murderer of my parents and scheme to get back at him for 20 years only to fail because I couldn't get my son to leave with me and because I trusted my thieving partner not to steal from me.
I did notice Jinkook dressing more snazzily but it had been so long since he had dressed like that so I'd forgotten he could actually look cute.
Why is Younglan working there again? She was supposed to invest with Jinkook but didn't want to invest in a movie, so why is she working at the office? Not that I object, it just wasn't really explained.

I was thinking that Jin-kook decided to have Eun-soo write a book about his family experiences when he, Eun-soo and Hee-soo weren't working, thinking that it might bring in some money. You have 3 young, naive people who didn't think that the book would be published though most authors spend years getting a novel published. They were naive in thinking that ESM, who is an intelligent, though crafty woman, wouldn't find out about this book.
On the other hand, Jin-kook's dysfunctional family makes for good reading. Really, how well-known was his family that others, outside of the extended family, would know about this family? It's not like they were celebrities or political figures. The average person, who read this book, wouldn't know Jin-kook's family situation.
I think the real "ouch" is when Eun-soo wrote that Golfer Dad wasn't the father of Jin-soo. This placed ESM in a real dilemma suggesting that she had Jin-soo after an affair with Mr. Park.

Perhaps DufusDad could sit in on some of these useless meetings... oh no.. bad idea... YoungLan would toss him out >:(because he's an 'outsider'. For someone who's almost died but survived some mysterious brain surgery, YL surely has made some sort of miracle recovery. So how many times do they have to shoot these scenes without the cast just breaking up in uncontrolled laughter? ;D

For someone who's almost died but survived some mysterious brain surgery, YL surely has made some sort of miracle recovery. Maybe she visited the same U.S. doctor that provided Kelly from Beverly Hills 90210 with the "miracle salve" that left her with absolutely no scars after she was burnt to a crisp in a 10-alarm fire. This wasn't botox, this was brain surgery, you would have though she'd have to at least wait till her stitches healed before she traveled halfway across the world and then go to work.

...This wasn't botox, this was brain surgery, you would have though she'd have to at least wait till her stitches healed before she traveled halfway across the world and then go to work. That's why I wonder how much time is supposed to have gone by. And why Hee-soo's tummy isn't bulging even a little bit. Even people with so-called hysterical pregnancies pooch out there. This drama is like America's Passions--never a day goes by. Literally. Bo
