I've missed some episodes and was ready to watch my tapes this weekend, but then I somehow taped over the darn things. So can anyone tell me what the deal is between Jeemin's birthmom is and if any other interesting has happened on the show. Is Younglan really dying or is she just going to receive surgery?

Hi, GC. Jeemin's birthmom keeps tailing the family and showing up. Jae-min's mom has already taken her aside once and "convinced" her to go away, but she came back again. Jae-min knows about it, and now Jee-hae's family does, too, but Jae-min doesn't want anyone to tell Jee-hae because it would "hurt" her. I don't know what that means. The woman says she just wants to see her baby once, but everyone knows that would only lead to trouble. Grandma has some perspicacious ideas about what might be in the girl's mind and how hard it's going to be to turn her away.
Young-lan has had surgery in New York for a brain tumor. Her chances of survival, before the surgery, were said to be very slim. It's not clear if that meant her surviving the surgery or her surviving at all. She did call Jin-kook before and after the surgery, and everyone who thought she was likely going to die is happy that she survived and has called him. Meanwhile, Eun-soo has gotten married and is on his honeymoon. (He and his gal don't appear to be indulging in the ridiculous his-n-hers honeymoon outfits we've seen in other soaps, notably One Million Roses.) He doesn't know yet about Young-lan.

it was surprising how the birth mother of jee-min is behaving. she needs to like go away. she only knows her rights because of sung-ae and then she goes around and tries to teach her. that was hilarious.

She is turning out to be quite a wildcard. Where does she get her money and legal knowlege? I hope they let us know without dragging it out TOO long!

what if its band-aid and his stalker friend LOL.. i know, i know... i'm reaching pretty far.... LOL. Interesting theory. The writers' propensity for leaving loose ends does invite speculation like that. Like, I am still puzzling over Hee-soo's loss of her cell phone. What was that for??

I know I said I didn't want it dragged out too long, but what happened in tonight's ep was just to easy. All that build-up for 'sign the papers, see the kid, and go'? I've got to think that it aint over yet.

I just feel it's bound to resurface (the issue, not the phone, although the phone could, too). Otherwise it just makes no sense. You'll remember I thought that the mother's eye operation crisis ended up being another red herring (though it served to advance the plot, it came out of nowhere and disappeared completely afterward). Well, this would be even worse, because it's trivial, so why even put it into the script if it doesn't mean anything?

I don't remember seeing her on another series, but the younger actresses are sometimes hard to tell apart, especially if they don't have a big part. She sort of reminds me of the girl who played My-ryung on Yellow Handkerchief (it was not her, by the way), so maybe she just reminds you of someone. Bo
