In the teaser we saw aftewr tonight's ep, did you see who was skulking around the Song house? I guess things were going a bit too smoothly there, and they had to shake things up a bit!

I saw her, but who is she? I thought she was a new character. I must have a short memory. edit: Oh, I see from the other thread that it's Jee-min's birth mom! I guess I didn't recognize her from her brief prior appearances. How 'bout that giant pregnant Hee-soo in the trailer? I'm laughing at her only because it's so sudden that it makes me think it's someone's dream or fantasy, not because being pregnant is funny.

Jee-min.... Jee-min.....OHHHHH his birthmom. I couldn't figure out who she was either because when she first appeard on MLF she looked a bit different. Someone suggested that MLF seemed to be gearing up for the end... but I think I read somewhere that there are 180-plus episodes. So now DufusBirthMom (DBM) wants to become mother of the year so that will add another 50 episodes.. ya think?

Oh! I didn't recognize her either. That is going to present some huge problems, because, as far as I know, they passed Jeemin off as Jeehae's by declaring it a "home birth". So, short of a dna test, this chick isn't going to be able to prove whether or not she is the actual mother.
Also, yeah, this proves that it's a bad idea to bring the chick home if you're planning on passing off her baby as your own. Why wouldn't they just put her up in a hotel? Well, that would be too logical.

I hope Kyung-ae (I think that's the woman's name) didn't come back to stir up problems for Jee-hae and Jae-min. But that's what's probably going to happen.

yea i was wondering what happend to band aid too. i mean in real life stalkers either have to die or get thrown in jail to go away. they usually dont "lose interest."
i would have loved to see jae min fight band aid. jae min might look like he's soft but under all of that hair spray (and did i see lip gloss?) is a cold blooded man. ;D

Re: Band-aid There are lots (and lots and lots ) of episodes left to go, so maybe they'll throw him back in the mix.

It just seemed too peaceful for Jee-Hae and Jae-Min, having both families so thrilled with Jee-Min that would give them the freedom to go on vacation and to open another store. Jae-Min's mother fills her days with Jee-Min, Great Grandma holds him as though it were Min-Sup all over again. Something bad has to happen!
When I saw that shadowy figure outside their home, I knew it had to be "birth mother", so young and naive that she ran away after the birth of her son. I just wonder how legal the adoption was since it was arranged by Sung-Ae.
I don't think JH and JM are ready to raise a child, but it will affect JM's mother who just delights in caring for the baby. It will be sad for her, especially, since the loss of the baby will turn her life back into a mediocre hum-drum of daily chores.

sandy you raise a good point. im wondering how legal this adoption is also. i dont think jee-mins mom signed over her parental rights, she just left after having the baby. and instead of jae-min and jae-hae contacting the authorities they took the baby home. and wasent it illegal for jae-min and jae-hae to adopt anyway? i know they didint meet the requierments.
ohhh what if sungae losses her job for breaking the law?

speaking of band aid and his friend, I know this is a really off the wall plot twist. but what if he or his friend is the birth father of jahee's baby. I know, I know it sounds ridiculous, but that would be a way to bring them back in the mix. That whole stalking thing was just too weird, and the story just ended abrubtly. Maybe the writers decided not to go too far with it, beacuse of audience reaction, or something.

Simple solution for all involed (a.k.a. what will never happen):
It's simple. They allow the birth mother to see Jee-min. However, before she sees him, she has to sign a piece of paper giving up any and all parental rights to Jee-min, which is, of course, notarized and whatever else it needs.
She supposedly only wants to see him once, so this would get her what she wants while making sure that she can never bother them again. Also, I don't think they would care if she came to visit once a year or so if she had clearly given up all rights.

i don't think anything that has to deal to jee-min is legal. the birthmother left so they could probably bring up the issue of abandonment in court, but i wonder what laws in korea are dealing with abandonment and adoption of babies in this manner.
from the way that jae-min's mother was talking: "Don't worry. I'll take care of everything. If anything happens, I don't want you to be any part of it..." or something along those lines... this definitely does not appear to be legal.
but it makes me wonder tho. if they claim the baby as their own, wouldnt they be able to dig up thru hospital records that ji-hae was infertile and was in a coma and there were clearly witnesses to say that she definitely could not have given birth cuz she was not pregnant whle she was in a coma...
does anybody no anything about the laws of adoption and abandonment in korea?
