(Everyone knows that my dear Johnny is just holding out for me. Really. ) And it's too bad that JK and HS didn't move out when they had a chance to - when they were first married it was all he could do to get his parents to allow him to live with them.

Okay, I think I've let enough of Jinkook's silliness pass by w/out too much fuss but yesterday just took the cake.
"I really hated you at that moment when I saw your phone on the bed." What? What?? WHAT? You hated the woman whom you are married to and who is carrying your child because she left her phone on the bed? Does that make sense to anyone?
Bottom line is he doesn't love her, she's there as his maid, his lover and that's about all he is willing to put up with. As soon as she discloses some valid arguments to make him see what an idiot he is, he tells her he hates her or regrets marrying her. I think he's only putting up with her because of the baby. I'm glad she wasn't all glad and giggly the next day.

I'm glad she wasn't all glad and giggly the next day. I'm really sick of Jin-kook now. I don't want to ski with him ever, and I don't even care to make him jealous (It'll take Min-jae years before he figures out I love him, anyway. He only has eyes for super-skinny chicks with crookes smiles). Why does JK want a traditional, puppydog wife? I mean, their marriage isn't traditional, the family isn't traditional, why does she have to act like everything's normal? If that family is now almost normal, it is due to Hee-soo. And couldn't her idiot FIL say to her, "You took such good care of Jin-soo when his mom ran away, it was your idea to give him art lessons, which has spurred his developement tremendously, go and visit your family. Since it was our family squable that kept you locked in the house for the first weeks of your marriage." AIGU!

I loved how the dad said that she'd changed and turned into a wild horse-like person. So I guess they're going to resolve this by Jinkook eventually letting her work and then everything will be normal. So it seems that all the characters have accepted that she was just being petulant because she couldn't work and JK indulged her so that she would continue to act "strangely."
I mean, come on, she is acting completely normally for a wife whose husband and in-laws don't respect her, love her, or allow her any freedom. I'm sure she also appreciates being told that she's an expensive DIL.
I really hate how everyone treats Heesoo. Sure, she doesn't always tell people what she wants, but they act like it's some sort of feminine flaw that causes her to act like this.

Is Alanna on this board? She's Korean and posts on the WLS board. She often has something illuminating to say about Korean culture. I'm wondering if they really are treating Hee-soo badly by Korean standards. I know we Americans are all in agreement about it.

let's think back about this wedding between J&H ... Hee-soo got exactly what she wanted... she saved her family house ... the whole concept was strange from the start. I hope we hear fro Alanna.
...and it amazes me that without counceling of any sort, stepmom is back in the family...
so do we think the gold bar will be returned to Hee-soo's purse?
we'll all need counceling by May when this story ends.

Kathleen, was that the gold bar she threw on the bed? I thought it was her cell phone. I was searching for an explanation why Jin-kook did not call her but instead called everyone else she knew!

Well, tonight Young-lan set Jin-kook straight.
That woman may not be likable, but she's the only logically thinking character on the show.

Well, tonight Young-lan set Jin-kook straight. That woman may not be likable, but she's the only logically thinking character on the show. It's about time too! But the fact that Young-lan always has to tell everyone what their problems are and then advice on how to fix their situation makes it seem like they are really dumb. p.s. I still don't like Young-lan, but I've grown to accept her.

oh oh... I'm starting to like YoungLan ... if anybody thought about an affair with JK she really did a good job of taking that off the table. And JK to his credit was able to accept her constructive criticism...
... the baby thing is troublesome... you gotta know that sooner or later everyone will know grandma's secret.

I, for one, really like Younglan as a character. Well, except for some of her tendencies to be especially bratty when playing it nice would get her what she wants more easily, but whatever.
I'm glad that Jinkook went out with Heesoo in this episode - and that he's promised to take her out with him a few times a month. That, accompanied with him finally letting her work, which I'm sure he'll do soon, will probably actually make her a happy Heesoo who maybe won't even mind it when ESM and co. get snippity about her.

I'm beginning to like Young-lan because she said a mouthful to Jin-Kook about how Hee-Soo feels. At first, I thought that Young-lan may have a romantic issue with JK, but she stood up for HS. Young-lan is often cold and detached, but she does have a lot of common sense. In her conversation with JK, she put aside her worries about her son being with Jung-Hee.
I think JK has some romantic feelings for Young-lan, mainly because of business, but I think she set him straight. I don't think it will help Hee-Soo to return to her parents' home. Her mother is too controlling who will meddle in her life. Maybe Hee-Soo should live with her aunt who seems to understand problems without meddling in them.
Actually, Hee-Soo's aunt and uncle seem less traditional, but more tolerant of life's problems.
