This board has been slow all week. Is everyone on vacation? Is everyone too sleepy to post? Did we chase away all the boys with our girlie posts?

I was thinking of posting the same question! Well, I don't usually log-on on the weekend and Mondays are always busy for me. I guess maybe it's a combination of sleepiness (hibernation season is coming) and the fact that I'm kind of just waiting for the next big thing to happen. This whole relationship between model girl/ESM has been dragged out too long. What can one say about the mom losing her eyesight? Or about Hesoo's dad penny philosophy? Jinkook not trusting Hesso completely, etc, etc. As far as the other posters, I believe Bo has no internet access at the moment, and others like historical dramas better than daily dramas. This reminds me, I haven't heard from WinterBallad in a really long time...

Ah, I see. Poor Bo! And I guess there's a lot going on in MPC (MLF?), but not enough to get us all excited. You're right, GC, what can we say? We need a bombshell here. One thing I'd like to say about a past epi., what were Jin-kook and Eun-soo thinking, stalking someone in that MashimaroMobile?!

.... Poor Bo! ...One thing I'd like to say about a past epi., what were Jin-kook and Eun-soo thinking, stalking someone in that MashimaroMobile?! Poor Bo you don't know the half of it. I can get on line at work now, but not at home. And I can't watch KBC-28 at home at all, but have bought a little vcr/tv to set up at work to tape in the evenings. So I can't even watch MPC right now. I hope to be back into the swim by next week. I thought the car was a little obvious, too, but maybe cartoony cars are a common sight in Korea! Hey, did you all see that news story that said Hello Kitty is really a rip-off of a Dutch cartoon character? (Maybe it was German.) And then, they said the Dutch/German character was a rip-off of some other character. They showed the other character, and it and HK were exactly the same. I think it was in the New York Times last week--sorry, no way to let you know at that time...and then I forgot, of course, until I read Jenny's post... Bo

I think I'd prefer Japanese HK over German HK. Unless they made Hello Kitty beer. I'd drink beer if it had a Hello Kitty on it!

OK, here's something to talk about. Why is the mother lying in bed, as directed, but not allowed to talk? How are the eyes connected to the mouth?
Speaking as someone who's had her brushes with retinal danger (though I didn't have retinal detachment), I can tell you that from what I've heard, they are perfectly correct that she should not move her head while she's healing, and especially shouldn't bend over, etc. But is there anything in the post-surgical care recommendations about not being spoken to or included in any conversations? Is she not supposed to listen to music? Why isn't she talking to her beloved Jae-min? They all hang around that hospital room as if she's in a coma, when she should be perfectly conscious and alert by this time. Instead, they (and she) are acting as if she's a dead body. It's weirding me out.

I think her husband, who is friends with the Dr., asked for this restriction as a personal favor. It's probably the only peace and quiet he's had in years!

I think the personal favor was that she be sedated before the operation, because she was freaking out about Jae-min and endangering her eyes. That I can understand, but I can't imagine that any doctor would keep a patient who's recovering from surgery sedated just because her husband asked for it. At least I hope not!

I am in agreement! Though I thought from the episode that he asked for her to be sedated before the operation and not for anything after. I just like the idea that he would be like "wife, don't talk or your eyes will fall out!"
It's not like the black car is much more discreet. I think that black is one of the most easily visible colors. They should've gotten a brown poop mobile. ;D
And I was thinking that the board was slow too! No new topics to post under! Nothing happening! Grr!

I think the board has been slow beacause the show seems to have been going through a period where they are setting situations up for the coming weeks. A lot of stirring, but no boiling, if you will. So folks may havew taken a "wait and see" attitude.
But tonight we saw (at least the back of the head) of ESM's Mysterious Brother. So things should be heating up. When I was reading responses to the question about the new subtitles I asked, I read some hints of future developments (fortunately, I wasn't spoiled TOO bad!), and it seemed to me that the action will be picking up right about now.

But tonight we saw (at least the back of the head) of ESM's Mysterious Brother. Did that profile remind you of anyone? This isn't a spoiler, because I have no idea, but he kinda reminded me of the landlord from OMR!!! I will DIE if this turns out to be him! What can he do, in his little snoopy sweaters, to ruin Jin-kook's family? I really hope it isn't him, because I wouldn't be able to take him seriously. I hope we find out tonight, it would stink if he's seen only looking out the window for the rest of the series.

What can he do, in his little snoopy sweaters, to ruin Jin-kook's family? *squeals* I just posted the same thing! I think it is him though; the hair, the lispy man voice. But if they wanted his character to really be evil, shouldn't he have been wearing some kind of velvet or silk robe in a dark color instead of some semi-transparent thermals?

No, because the new face of evil these days is slouchy. Duh.

No, because the new face of evil these days is slouchy. Duh. Slouchy? Wasn't he a cartoon character from the 60s--Slouchy Sloth, with his sidekick, Sloppy (the turtle)? Bo PS - my taping machine setup is not fabulous, but it's viewable! Yay!

I have no idea but that sounds like an awesome cartoon.
I'm glad that you're getting reception though! I've been getting problems recently - it decided to go all fuzzy a couple of days back (instead of the nominally clear but slightly off) so it was difficult to watch. Usually I get kind of a double image so it's hard to read the subtitles b/c the letters are kinda shadowed, but with the snow it was impossible. It's back now though.
