As far as I know, you take it off when the MIL tells you to take it off. A Korean can probably answer this better, since my info was second-hand at best (let's just say, DH was not the best translator...he only gave me the basics ~ not all the tiny details a female would give! LOL). Fortunately for me, my MIL didn't make me wear it after the traditional wedding ceremony. But now that I think about it, I was VERY ill when we returned from our honeymoon. Almost passed out in the taxi coming home and was flat on my bad practically unconscious with a raging fever for about a week. *That* might have had something to do with it! LOL The only other times I remember having to wear it was during Chosuk (Korean thanksgiving) and I think at one of the (many) memorial days. I was a sight during Chosuk because we had to travel to a relative's house on the other side of Seoul. Here was an American decked out in her newlywed hanbok with her Korean husband riding subways and taking taxis! Melissa
