Just to let you guys now of a new message board, "Age of Warriors Tangents".
The idea is to have this board focus on the show itself, as well as the historical context. We want to make easier for especially (but not exclusively) new people (and especially those people who thought they were the only people to watch this kind of show) get integrated into the growing fan community.
The tangent board is especially (but not exclusively) for those who like using the message board to express themselves creatively, and those who like to keep conversations going at a more rapid pace.
On THIS board, definitely add some personal info as you deem appropriate. However, we're not expecting messages threads that run into 9 pages after 2 days.
If you think the message conversation is going off topic, start a new one on the Tangent board and write a link in the old thread.
Jacques has been great about referring back to old message threads when appropriate (i.e. on Jang-geum, reminding us of a posted translation of the show's theme song).
On the TANGENT board, you don't have to be as careful about length or number of messages (though i encourage people to continue not include obscenity; you continue make this fun "job"!)
Over the next week, i might move a few topics to the new board (that way, you can get a sense of what i'm talking about).
i don't think knov1 or I will get TOO strict on message content. We trust you guys. If it's borderline, we might specifiy about where that line is, and the participants can choose what to do (i.e. start a new thread, refocus the conversation ,etc. Hopefully, completely stopping the message thread is NOT an option that is usually chosen)
