I know not of this Wizzo, so you need to find pictures!

My Google search turned up nothing, except for a link to a Bozo porn site, which I did NOT visit, since I'm afraid of clown porn. Jenny: "clown porn"-- LOL-- You crack me up!! And your Hardrock, Coco & Joe lyrics & pic.....I haven't thought about that song since the 1960's---my cousin had the 45 RPM record and used to play it constantly on her little dinky record player with the scratchy needle. Thank you for jogging my memory!

Wizzo the Clown was played by Marshall Brodien, who is a famous magician (his company sells magic kits in stores) (one website misspelled his name "Marshall Bordeen"). I tried to find a picture on line, but there don't seem to be any, even any cast photos of the Bozo show. Hmmm. Veddy suspicious.

Why is it so hard to find a picture of Wizzo!? Jenny: "clown porn"-- LOL-- You crack me up!! And your Hardrock, Coco & Joe lyrics & pic.....I haven't thought about that song since the 1960's---my cousin had the 45 RPM record and used to play it constantly on her little dinky record player with the scratchy needle. Thank you for jogging my memory! I posted a link to a site that plays Hardrock, Coco, and Joe, in the General section. It's in the Korean language trivia thread. Enjoy!

I haven't checked out everything yet, but if you put "Museum Of Broadcast Communications" under the Google search, it will bring up info on many old children's shows and cartoons. They probably even have a photo of Wizzo, because they do reference Bozo's Circus, and I met him (Marshall Brodien) at the event they had about four years ago. Unfortunately, he didn't have the Wizzo makeup on, so he didn't look anything like our friend Eric

Well, here's a big "duh" for all of us--his name's Whizzo, not Wizzo. Here's some info, with a picture of Cooky but not the Whiz: www.chicagotelevision.com/wgntv.htmApparently, there's some beloved clown (hee hee) in Kansas City named Whizzo, too, but he's not our clown. I'm not having any luck with this--I find Mr Brodien without makeup, but not with. Bo

Well, here's a big "duh" for all of us--his name's Whizzo, not Wizzo. Bo, I just checked "Bozo's Circus" on Google, and if you click on the first link and read the story, it does show his name as "Wizzo". If I come across the photo of him in costume, I'll be sure to include the link to it.

If I come across the photo of him in costume, I'll be sure to include the link to it. Yeah, I found that too, at first, but every other story I found called him 'Whizzo.' (IMdb says "Wizzo"). My point was, we should search using alternate spellings. Bo

And, I may as well post that video info I promised you here, MB45, because I can't find the original thread: Chicago Archives' "Kid's Stuff" - contains H,C&J, Suzy Snowflake, Frosty, Peter Cottontail, The Adventures of Spunky & Tadpole, Mighty Hercules, 5 eps of Clutch Cargo, The Funny Company, Mischief Makers, 3 eps of Tom Terrific (yea!), 3 eps of Diver Dan and some other footage. That's all it says on the package, and the innards are not helpful because it's VHS, not DVD. So I googled Hardrock, Coco & Joe. I found this site (buy at your own risk): www.toontracker.com/video/dvdxmas.htmAnd this: www.museumtv.bigstep.com/item.jhtml?UCIDs=1110927|1279393&PRID=1406174This site is cute (no video--someone's blog): www.rogersbasement.com/Remember.htmWGN's answer page (see question 2): wgntv.trb.com/about/station/wgntv-faq.story?track=sitemapSo, I found lots of possible sources. Good luck.

Thanks for the links, Bo! I'll be sure to check them out, and I did watch the H C & J video which Jenny gave us the link to. It's timeless and cute! I've mostly seen it spelled as "Wizzo", but did notice that Don Sandburg (Sandy the Clown) used the "Whizzo" spelling in an interview which I found later on a google search, so as you suggested, it's best to use both in a search. Thanks again, and I'll look for the photo which will prove that Eric is the son that our friendly magician never talks about ;D

I joined a Yahoo group, it was a WGN tv show fan club or something. I'll find a pic of W[h]izzo yet!
P.S. That Roger's basement site is where I got the pic for my avatar! I joined his Yahoo group and was able to download The H/C/J mp3. He doesn't have any Bozo information, though.

I hope you'll be able to find a good photo without too much searching, Jenny. So far, the only one of him I've found is on the poster for the Museum of Broadcast Communications appearance, and it's so small that his picture is hard to see. Wizzo/Whizzo always claims to be from Zanzabar, but we know that he's trying to keep his son Eric a secret from us Maybe the Orange hair got to him! ;D ;D
