I see Flowerlady already started a thread about ep. 24, but I want to know about both eps. that aired this past weekend (1st weekend October) and following Monday/Tuesday. As you all know by now, I moved my household, and will not get to see either of these episodes at all. (I hope to have something set up for the last one and for Damo #1, however!!!) I want to get a recap while it's fresh in your minds. (I haven't even gotten to watch 22 & 23 yet--they're on tape, though!)
Anywho, would some kind soul please oblige me with as much info as they possibly can remember about what happened this weekend (or if you prefer, just ep. 25 at this thread & I'll refer to Hachuie's answer to FL). I won't be able to thank you properly until I've completely caught up, but I'm thanking you now in advance.
Bo

I'm sorry, I can only give bits and pieces, because I can't remember what happened when. Maybe this will refresh someone else's memory. I missed the begining of Fri.'s epi, where Ji-eun had just been abducted by a group of thugs. I believe this was Eric's doing, although I suspected that Ji-eun may have signed up for MTV's Room Raiders and they took her before she had a chance to clean her room. Will frees JE from Eric's house by giving him the recorder. The recorder wasn't a copy, like we all suspected, it was just Will dissing Eric. That made Eric mad! <- (Mad Eric) From there I forget. Eric turns Will over to the police after a big scandal erupts, leading to the arrests of government officials who took bribes and the CEO's who paid them. Will convinces them of his innocence, which leads the police to Eric and his Pa. Pa collapses in his office while they are searching through his papers, and suffers from cerebral palsy. Ji-eun comes to watch him die, and gives him a stern talking to, asking why he was so afraid of her father. She doesn't get the satisfaction she expected after seeing him. Eric talks to her in the hospital hallway, but I don't remember the conversation. Will and Ji-eun go out for drinks at a tent bar and talk about their future together, but it wasn't positive. I forgot the whole conversation. Mi-ran's dad gets ownership of J-River after Eric's dad's death, and Mi-ran asks for ownership of it. After Ji-eun looses the job because of Mi-ran (see Flowerlady's thread), she finds out that MR has Will's company. She calls MR at her home later that night to talk to her, and MR calls Will to tell him she's coming. Will: "Why did you call her?" MR: "She called me! WHY DO YOU ALWAYS YELL AT ME!!!" (in her shrill scream) Ji-eun shows up and begs Mi-ran on her knees to lay off Will, and Will shows up and tries to drag her out of there. Mi-ran grabs her dad's hunting or skeet shooting rifle and holds them both at gunpoint at the door. They both hold hands, and MR shoots JE in the arm. Will just sits there holding JE instead of calling 911, and MR freaks out. MR locks herself in her room, screaming, while her hot driver calls her dad. JE spends the night at the hospital and Will stays with her, and there was a flashback to JE's miscarriage. Cute lawyer friend shows up and they discuss pressing charges against MR. JE's mom and sis aren't told she's hurt, but that she's staying the night at a friend's house. JE goes home, after telling Will outside the hospital that they shouldn't see eachother ever again. At home JE gets an email from MR that she's sorry, and she's going to kill herself so could you come take care of my body before Will sees it? Thanks! Ji-eun rushes to her house, while Will receives a Fed-ex from Mi-ran, she gave him back J-River. Will rushes over to MR's home, too. MR takes a bath, puts on her expensive makeup (see Mi-ran's suicide thread) and a wedding dress. JE and Will find MR lying peacefully in bed, arms folded, with a glass of wine and some powder on the table next to her. JE sobs over her, and I don't remember Will's reaction. And that was the final scene from epi. 25. Sorry I can't remember it all, I hope this made sense! Can anyone else help?

This is my first time responding to the board, although I read it all the time. I love to hear everybodies input. I notice that somebody"The Bo" missed episode 24 & 25, I have it taped so if that helps let me know. Maybe I can send it through the mail if you really feel like watching it, or I can just review it and give you a better update. Let me know!

Jenny, you did a great job outlining Ep. 24 & 25! Very detailed and many funny lines that had me cracking up, too! Thanks for taking the time.

Jenny, I can't read it yet (don't have the VCR hooked up to watch previous tape), but it looks like you covered the info for me--and I know how much work it is to do those full episode synopses. I look forward to delving into all the juicy details here and elsewhere on the forum after I see my tapes. Thanks so much, Jen (and all you other guys, too).

Bo Thanks for the kind words, ladies, and you're welcome! I'm sorry my summary is so incomplete, I just wrote it hoping someone with a tape or a better memory could elaborate. So anyone, feel free to help out, too, as long as you don't call it a "better update."

You did great, Jenny, as far as I can tell. I started to contribute to the thread the other day but quickly realized that I was very confused about what happened when. Too bad, because I wanted to reference Ji-eun's "Boyfriend Bonfire."
Sorry to be negative, but I am so sick of this show and the constant fluctuations of the characters' behavior, especially Jeong-min. (1) "I've been bad but I want to be good for you, Ji-eun-shi." (2) "You don't love me, so I'm going to be as evil as possible and hurt everyone." (3) "Strike that, I was just being self-indulgent. I'm turning over a new leaf and am going to be good again." (4) "You don't love me (again), so I'm going to be as evil as possible (again)." (5) "I'm sorry for everything, and I'm going to live right from now on. No, really."
Sheesh! Eric is bad enough, but mopey, slow-motion Ji-eun is even worse. I am so amused with my willingness to watch the show even though I hate it, that I'm looking forward to watching the finale just to have that "removing your too-tight shoes" feeling.

Jeong-min is just suffering from a good bout of "evil mastermind wannabe." It's like all those supervillains. They're not necessarily bad people, but they're pushed into evil because of the cold, unfeeling world. Remember that Seinfeld episode where they wrote a show where George had to be Jerry's butler or something? Well, I think that Jeong-min should come back and be their butler (after they get married of course) in order to atone for his evil. Then they can push him around just like he did to her when she was a helper - I thought that was so insulting "I love you honey, here, get me some pie." Grr!

I thought the part with the tape recorder was hilarious even though I'm sure it wasn't meant to be. I just knew that only Eric would be stupid enough not to check the recording. (I cheated and watched Monday's ep. instead of watching in order)

The only thing that came to mind during that scene was, "Is that a recorder in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?" Eep! Now I'll have to laugh all the way through the last episode thinking of that. The funny thing is that I could picture See-hoon saying it more easily than Mr. Cheese.

That's what makes this board so interesting (and often hilarious! ;D).....that everyone here has their own viewpoint, opinion or slant on a storyline. Having this board to check out and keep up with has definitely enhanced the whole experience of watching K-dramas for me. You (my fellow fan friends) are observant, thoughtful, very smart, and (thank God), you never take things too seriously, which is the best! Soooo, I certainly hope that all of you will stick around and be here for "Damo" and other future shows.
