I forgot to mention this. I know Bokja is probably doing this whole lovey-dovey number with Ho-jin to get back at Yuh, but it seems like Ho-jin might be interested now.
I really, really hope Bokja and Hojin get together. Do any of you think this farse (although I'm not too sure whether or not she's kidding) can turn into reality?

I get that feeling, too, and I wish it were going to happen, but I don't think it really will. I think the writers intend Bok-ja and Mr. Unworthy-of-her to get together. Actually, I've been wondering if the reason she is treated as a comic character has to do with the actress being biracial. Not that they are "making fun" of her for that, but that at this early stage of social acceptance, it might be hard for them to conceive her as a regular, attractive girl who could "get" a stable, non-idiotic guy like Ho-jin. After all, she is pretty large for a woman in Korea and not very Asian-looking. Any thoughts on that?

I really wish this wasn't the case, but I know that this is a harsh, harsh world so it could be. Even though her character is talented, successful and beautiful woman, it very well could be that Hojin's parents wouldn't accept her because she's not completely Korean. IOW maybe they feel that Hojin would be getting the short end of the stick. Or maybe we are just totally over analyzing this.

True, but I was really thinking more about the real-life situation of how a role gets cast and how the writers write for that character. Maybe they don't even see her as being as good-looking as we do. I thought that, while some of us here see her as perfect for Ho-jin, the people making the show (and their audience in Korea) might not accept her as more than a momentary flirtation, for humorous effect. If she were really going to be a second romantic lead, I don't think Ho-jin would have protested so much when she first started coming on to him (in jest). Then again, as you say, this part of the plot is farce, so rules and expectations probably take a back seat.
