Is the Eric/Ji-eun theme song in English? I keep thinking it is. The most recent time I've heard it is when Eric found out the awful truth and is walking around drinking and waiting outside Ji-eun's house. The only line I can catch is "I try to..."
Anyone get some of the lyrics? Am I delusional?
On another note, Perry Como's "And I Love You So" is one of my favorite songs ever, it's so lovely, and I was extremely happy when they opted to play that instead of Will/See-hoon singing it. I thought that was very nicely done at the party scene, with the flashbacks. And certainly a relief from El Bobo Americano whinging "I Did It My Way" (but oh, boy, what a perfect corporate party cliche).

Okay, I'm listening to the tape again. It seems the song has a mix of Korean and English. The part I definitely hear in English is the first line of the chorus, something like, "When you ask [are?], never needed anyone, and I-I-I, just try to be a man you need..." It's rather difficult, because they are playing clips over it with dialogue. He'p me, Rhonda.

Bo, I replayed the tape several times & came to the same conclusion. That is, that it is a combination of English & Korean. I was not as successful as you in discerning the chorus. Perhaps some other fans will have a better lead on it.

Joanie and I thought we heard the same thing, but we don't have a tape to refer to. They supposedly have the lyrics on www.soompi.com somewhere, but I couldn't find them. Anyway, I'm glad you mentioned the song "And I Love You So", TheBo. That's always been one of our favorites, although I usually think of the version by Don McLean, who wrote the song. It's on his Tapestry album, though I used to have the Perry Como 45. It's a beautiful song!

But Perry Como has a certain something, I think, that suits this particular song. His voice is richer than McLean's, but it's not only that. Maybe because it's one of Como's signature pieces. Anyway, it's a great song, and used well in this scenario, no matter who sings it. Bo PS - you can call me Bo.

Bo,
I looked on soompi and the lyrics for this song can be found under OST in the lyrics section. The name of this song in english is Love for You by Shin Jae-hong. Though most of the song is encoded because I don't have Korean characters set on my computer the english part goes : TEXT
If I find the rest of the song I will post it.

Thanks, mznatalia, for that bit of info! Thanks to you, I've finally found it. Here's the English part that repeats: When you have never needed any one And I've just tried to be the man you need (Those are the only lyrics in English) Here's the link to the OST lyrics: soompi.com/music/lyrics/artist.php?artist_id=205

That scene was hilarious to me even though I know it wasn't meant to. They just had to have picked that guy off the street, I mean he's got no acting talent, he's got no singing talent. Seo is a much better singer than actor--and that's as nice as I plan to be to him.

Almost forgot! Don't you all just love the little music they put in when Miran is plotting something evil? It's kind of like the sound from an evil little music box.

Yeah, I was just looking at Friday's today, and they played it when Will dropped her in the pool and she was drowning herself. That choir in the background is ominous. Also, there is a lively little theme they have for when "something's up", which they played afterward when she was begging him and they were remembering their previous conversations. I think it's been played it for scenes between Will and Eric, too. It seems so innocent, just some nice incidental music, and then "boomf!" there's a dull drumbeat in the wrong place, just to tell you, "There's something off here."

Yep, my husband & I call that the "evil sorceress music", (which is incidentallly, not on the OST CD).
