Why did a cigarette goto the horse race? answer Marlboro Really........are you quite certain of that? Perhaps it would be funnier if the cigarette had to wait for soy sauce........ Ducky, would you mind inserting this into Babblefish and see if it gets funnier?

Hey Captain. Why did a cigarette goto a horse race? (Playing the courteous yet affable straight man)"Gee, I dunno cyuser, why did the cigarette go to a horse race?" And now for something completely different: (spoken in the voice of Michael Palin) "Tonight, on "It's the Mind", we will be discussing the phenomenon of deja vu; that strange feeling you get that you've experienced something before." "Tonight, on "It's the Mind", we will be discussing the phenomenon of deja vu; that strange feeling you get that you've experienced something before." "Tonight, on "It's the Mind", we will be discussing the phenomenon of deja vu; that strange feeling you get that you've experienced something before." ;D

I guess this is your first big lesson in the tough world of comedy, cyuser. Your joke is probably very funny in it's original language and cultural surroundings, but not all humor translates (literally and figuratively) to different countries; thus would explain the general lack of recognition to a Life of Brian reference (kudos for knowing that, but it seems to be the only Monty Python that didn't do well here; not one of my faves, but I saw it on a date at the theater and well, you're too young to hear the rest.) One more thing, perhaps you failed to take note of the name of the board to which you constantly post your sometimes germane, sometimes unrelated but mostly taunting contributions (see, we're not beating up on you, you can be very antagonistic, but harmless for the most part) but to whom are you referring as foreigner? According to the locations you have listed for yourself, you shouldn't be able to understand the horse race joke, but you're the only one that seems to appreciate the subltle humor........ You're an amusing lad, but don't look for a career as a humorist.

Well, I did think the Marlboro joke was funny, even though I had to have it explained to me.
And to be fair, Captain, cyuser DID say it wasn't funny to non-Koreans. Er, "foreigners"--what are we calling me now? Gringa?
Bo
PS - cyuser, you'll have to fight with MyBob to get me. French pastries at 25 feet, flung.
