So how many do we have so far? From most recent going backwards I can remember: Archfiend Ja-sun The son of the guy from West Capital I think Ui-bang did a couple...I know he basically bowled one right in front of Ui-jong in an early episode. ;D Anyone else ? I haven't seen 129 yet, it looks like it happens to the Archfiend's sons...of course Brue appeared to have been beheaded but that was a fake-out. Just wondering since bringing the head of someone is a big deal in this drama.

well, there were hundreds, even thousands of eunuchs and civil officials killed during the 1170 rebellion. so i think that it is not countable. comeon. the chungs wer elikely beheaded after kds killed them. cho won jong was beheaded. i believe that all those ministers who conspired with kim do bang were also beheaded, along with kim do bang. there are just too many to count.

OK maybe I should've clarified that I was not talking about EVERYONE in the show or that historical era including the foot soldiers and stuff. If you think about it that way, you're right that's way too many heads to count. I just meant the actual executions/heads that were shown in AOW.

What about General Cho? Eh- I'm not sure if that's his name, but he was the really fancy one with the cape and the big eyebrows...

If I remember correctly, the son of Viceroy Che of West Capital was named Kyung. Also, Che Kyung had his head severed after repeatedly trying to recover the severed head of West Capital's General Woo who had his own head severed by Yi Ui Bang. Additionally, when the Viceroy sent an envoy to Yunju to get their support for his rebellion, they sent back the envoy's head. Apparently, head severing was a fashionable way of communicating displeasure in the north.

When I started this thread that was the part of the show that I was trying to remember but couldn't. Yep communication by severed head. At least you know exactly how they felt when you got that special delivery. Guess it saves time writing a note. ;D They always seem to wrap it in a fancy cloth too, I wonder if that's a special one just for severed heads!

available at your local discount severed heads accessories store. ;D Ha! Yeah it would be funny if the merchants in town carried it. "Sorry we ran out of blue, our suppliers are restocking. We got a lot of red with the frilly design though. Need any impaling sticks? One size fits all...and since you're a regular customer I'll give ya 10 for 5 silver pieces." I love this tangent board...

Also on our board I think we have a lot of younger viewers (some sound like pre-teen) who take their dramas *way* too seriously, especially those that have their favorite hunk o' the month. So I'm glad people are willing to talk about any drama in this way, but AOW in particular.
