he can be weak from something like a stroke, something like that would be reasonable and not bring any shame or dishonor or whatever on him.

right, i mean if he has a stroke or something, that will make him weak and his being weak will get him killed (or get choi bu killed trying to protect him)

i don't think he would have to be killed. he obviously couldn't still be ruler if it was bad enough, he would abdicate, bu-young will take him somewhere quiet to live out his days and that leaves a bunch of turmoil in shilla. choi bu stays to help stablize the situation and whoever is emperor somehow knows they have to keep him. hell i don't know, this is complicated and my brain gave up on thinking many hours ago.

if the archfiend leaves, then wouldn't choi bu go with him?

if the archfiend leaves, then wouldn't choi bu go with him? like i said, complicated, and i'm not thinking. if the archfiend dies, do you hear my heart shattering all over again, but if he does, what happens to choi bu then? whichever son comes to power isn't going to want him for their own reasons.

is the imperial city close enough to the ocean? well in historie japan pirates use to attack koryo, but they use to leave once they had what they wanted. but then they became a huge army that would stay to fight the korean army. well i don't know if its close but if they attack some parts of shilla they have to send an army. maybe ji-soon would like to go? ;D but that plan luvarchfiend gave is good.

i could see china attacking shilla faster then the mongols. the mongols would have to control china to attack with a better chance at winning.
