well i saw esp 129 tonight, it was very touching. Like i said before, i'm not planning to move on with the show after the archfiend 's death. I think i already lost that passion and excitment of expecting and watching the show. Maybe it's because it had been so long or maybe that so many good char died. All i know is i can barely keep up with the show when archfiend still alive(maybe it's because that KDS died and archfiend didnt had any good opponent to fight and things start getting boring after that), i know i definaly won't enjoy the show as much as before since the archfiend died and i dun like any of the chars left(nope not even Mr.Du, it just make me laugh saddly seeing him saying how loyal Mr. Skull face is to the imperial house). Anyway I just cant force my self watching something that i dun like anymore. Well i pledge my departure here. Thank you all for the good time and the exciting discussion. Theres always something we can't agree on and thats what make this board meaningful. I can never like Choe, and i hope other can respect my opinion just as i respect those that supports him. well i guess the bottom line is that Im not leaving because the archfiend died, it's because i have lost the passion for the show. Once again , thank you all for the joyful time that you guys/girls gave to me. I wish you all good luck with your lives and in the things you do. Maybe we'll meet again in the next Korean drama, who knows . Until we meet again. TheIceTiger

btw i wanted to add that the thing that is most memorable in the show is the short flashbacks, especially the one with the archfiend gave me the deepest memory. From watching it, i get some flashback of my own life, somehow remembering all thsoe years pass by just saddens me. Life is short, i guess im gona try to do something great, I'll leave with a dream, so one day when i have that archfiend flashback again, i hope i'll be happy and proud TheIceTiger logging out

Well, I’m going to keep watching (episode #130 airs tonight in Los Angeles) but I admit that, from an artistic standpoint, the Age of Warriors really should have ended with episode #129 and the death of Yi Ui-min. Without any of us really realizing it at the beginning, I think that the “Age of Warriors” drama really became the story of the Archfiend, from his participation in the 1170 rebellion to his death in 1196. And, now that he’s gone, it seems so anticlimactic to continue on with the series.
But, from the historical standpoint, Choi Choong-hon was obviously a much more significant figure in Korean history, and it’s a gigantic loose end that the writers really needed to wrap up. I understand why they had to continue on, but I sure hope the writers manage to keep it interesting, because while Ui-bang, Ui-min, KDS and even the Metrosexual were colorful and exciting characters, Choi (let’s face it) has all the personality of a baked potato!
Farewell, IceTiger! Hope to see you again aboard the “Turtle Ships” this fall!

I just don't think the writers have done nearly as good a job with Ch'oe as with the other major characters. Maybe their just tired after 120 odd episodes and are looking forward to a break. Other "villains" have at least been colorful. I mean the Chungs were evil but at least they enjoyed being evil. Ch'oe doesn't seem to enjoy anything. It's hard to make the effort ot continue watching when the major character left has the charm of a dead fish.

well, i mean it's kinda like myong jong said after the archfiend was killed. everyone has lied to him and turned out to be a villainous subject, i mean i know that's history but talk about beating a dead horse.
oh? another rebellion?
what? another treasonous subject who A) either deserves your loyalty or B) you didn't see it til it was too late?
really? you're the one who's spearheading the righteous cause to deliver the people from distress?
after a while, it kinda gets old... there's been so many plot repeats that after a while i don't think you even need the subtitles.
