Hello Everyone and Anyone! ;D I am new to the KBS dramas but am hooked, line and sinker! I began watching with, "To Be With You" (loved it) and the got more hooked on, "Yellow Handkerchief" (LOVED IT MORE) ! These soaps were my refuge when I was pregnant and couldnt sleep cuz, I was so huge and couldnt get comfortable. Anyway, I sadly :'(missed the first episode of, "One Million Roses" but, have been reading all of your threads and it sounds great! My question is what is the romance part of the show? Is the show solely about money, families and business or is there a dream couple(s) to hope for? Please Advise!!! ;D

Well, it is assumed that the 'dream couple' is Hye ran & Hyun kyu. There is a LOT of chemistry between these two. However, we will have many obsticles as time goes on. I heard there were about 150 episodes so it is a long drama. There are several characters to enjoy a 2nd or 3rd time around because they have been featured in previous dramas. This is a great drama & I hope no one dumps it thinking it can never measure up to YH. YH remains my all time favorite but I am totally hooked now on OMR (saw episode 25 last nite in my area). OMR is very very good as you will all realize very soon!

Oh, no - Hye Ran and Hyun Kyu? These two seem to be the most irritating characters, and the focus will be on them? I know that those qualities that I find irritating are supposed to be endearing; that I should be cheering on Hye Ran and, well, I don't know what they want us to feel for Hyun Kyu. But all I can see is how both of these characters are mistreating Min Jae. At this point, I kinda hate Hyun Kyu. Especially after that flashback when HK and MJ were kids, and HK smashed MJ's school project. As for Hye Ran, how can she entertain the thought of dating HK after she was proposed to by MJ, the GAW-geous director of her company, who cares about her family? All Hyun Kyu has going for him right now is that he had enough sense to color back those awful highlights. Hmmmm, maybe I'm a little biased, since I loved "So This is Love".

I loved 'So this is love' also... But Min jae is a bit of a different charater in OMR. He has a lot of anger in him (rightfully so). He proposed to Hye ran but he is assuming that because HE wants to marry her that she will feel the same. I think he just wants out of the house (and I do not blame him there). I think he cares very much for Hye ran but I think Hyun kyu is the one that feels the love most. Both these men have old issues with each other... There is a lot of things they will need to confront & deal with regarding their own relationship as 'brothers'...

Thank you, nsheldon. I trust your analysis because A.) You've been watching dramas for a while (right? Or am I confusing you with someone else?) and B.)You're ahead of us so you know more of what's going on. So I guess I better give Hyun Kyu some time. And maybe I keep picturing Min Jae as Joon Bum! Thank you for clarifying! ;D Maybe I was too harsh too soon!

Yes, was nsheldon that has been watching the dramas for about 6+ years... Love them all.... And, I have to be VERY careful not to give away anything on the shows since we are a couple weeks ahead of you. So, if I say anything you should not know yet just send me a sad face or curse me.... I'll try to be good & not spoil anything for others.... Really want your opinions in about 2 weeks... Bet you will all be terribly hooked!!
