Yeah, this show deserves to be way longer! I can't believe "Wife" gets to go on for about a million episodes with the characters doing nothing but staring into space and sometimes crying. They should have chopped 20 episodes off of "Wife" and given them to "Bodyguard" instead.

It seems this show got cut up over in Korea, not here. I wonder if they might come out with a longer "directors cut" version, that would answer questions like, "what did they to to discredit Man-bok?" Of course, if they did, it probably wouldn't be subtitled, so we still wouldn't know It looks like a historical drama will be replacing BG. They said in the message that scrolled during the promo that it would be English subtitled, but the didn't give the name in English, and as I wasn't recording it, I can't freeze-frame it and check my dictionary.

i'm upset. The ending sucked. I wanted to know if kyungtak was going to hook up with anybody. Is this one of those endings where you just make up your own ending or what? anyways this sucks they should have kept bodyguard going on longer

I think the next one will be Dae Jang-geum www.imbc.com/broad/tv/drama/daejanggum/index.html. Its about the first female royal physician. According to the Korean Wiz site, its not subtitled. I really hope it is because I love those historical dramas. I find them very inspirational for my doll clothing designs. But I could be totally wrong about the name of the drama. However, it did look cool to see anyway. <got fingers crossed in hopes that its subtitled> ;D

KBC said it would be. Seeing as how Michael Han did the subtitles for our airing of BG, if we're lucky, he'll be doing them for this show, too.

My whole school has become obsessed with Korean Soap Operas, it spread like freaking wild fire after me and a friend told a few people. I mean if soo many people enjoy this soap operas it is in the best interest of KBC to subtitle everything. I mean I watch Music Bank all the time, but if it were subtitled soo many more people would watch it. And as for that horrible ending, I am very sad to see that such a great soap opera ended so badly.

My whole school has become obsessed with Korean Soap Operas, it spread like freaking wild fire after me and a friend told a few people. Once people discover Korean dramas, they seem to latch on to them right away, but GETTING them to watch for the very first time is just so difficult. In any case, WAY TO GO JESS! Who knows, maybe you've just started a revolution in Chicago TV viewing!

Guess I wasn’t the only one who was a little disappointed with “Bodyguard.” Don’t get me wrong: I enjoyed the series very much (each episode just seemed to fly by, which is a sure indication that I was having a great time watching it) but it just seemed like there was so much more that the writers could have done to make this *good* show into a really *great* show.
Funny how everyone seems to agree that the writers hurried things along. Most shows, I think, err on the side of too much rather than too little – and they end up dragging everybody along until it’s almost a relief that the show’s finally ending so we can all move on to something new. But “Bodyguard,” I think, could have gone another 10 episodes – easy – and doing so might have made it into a much more memorable series.
Things were so rushed – and the ending was so abrupt and inconclusive – that I was sure there must be a “Bodyguard 2” in the works, if only to tie up some of the loose ends. With Bodyguard’s huge ratings in Korea, it would seem nuts not to do so. But, as time has gone on, I’ve become a lot less confident. One would think that they’d be in production by now if they were going to do it.
But, who knows? If a “Bodyguard 2” does come along, I’ll sure want to see it – as would a few million Koreans, I’d guess.

Does anyone know if there is a DVD with English subtitles available for bodyguard? I do not speak korean. I am not korean. But, I fell in love with BODYGUARD. LOL, I have never watched a soap opera before in any language. I would love a DVD of the series with English subtitles. I hope there is a BODY GUARD II!

Does anyone know if there is a DVD with English subtitles available for bodyguard? A few on-line vendors have Bodyguard for sale in DVD format -- but without the English subtitles Also, they're "Region 3" DVD's, meaning that they won't play on an American "Region 1" player -- you'd need to buy a special code-free DVD player to play them. Too bad, but I guess we'll all keep hoping for good news someday.
