Well, after 2 months of action-packed episodes and high emotions, Love Letter is coming to an end. My personal opinion is that they should have made it into a longer series because I have so many questions that beg for answers (along with points to complain about ) which I don't think this last episode will answer. 1. What ever happened to Yuri, I now that the hearing impared can take of themselves and all, but still, how can everyone just leave her. I mean, the mom became a nun, the father killed himself, Woojin is always working, all she has left is Ajumma (the housekeeper). 2. Why did the mother become a nun? It's not as if she will solve anything by it. In fact, she abandoned her child again to become one! 3. How did Eunha end up in the orphanage in the first place? Her family was supposed to be well off. Actually I forgot if in the first episode they said her family had lost it all... 4. One last thing that came to mind is WHY DOES ANDREA KEEP WALKING AWAY??? In yesterday's episode when he walked away from her in the hospital she collapsed, when he went away and she was at the house she and Andrea was sharing she collapsed, yesterday when they were at the beach and Andrea walked away, she collapsed. Come on Andrea, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out you can't leave a sickly person by themselves...

1. Well, Yuri has grown-up. She can take care of herself. <grin> 2. She didn't become a nun. This type of thing is surely not common in the U.S., but in Korea, some religious and non-religious people take shelter or refuge in convents or monasteries to rest from a traumatic event, to serve, or for whatever other reasons.. 3. Eunha ended up in the orphanage because her father died after a bankruptcy(?), and then her mother, who was a famous actress, died out of trauma. 4. Andrea wasn't watching her when she collapsed... they should've made it clearer... yes, I agree, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. However, I think the writer intended more emotive response for Andrea. I think he's walking away in a fit of rage that somewhat blinds him to the reality of her situation. I was very satisfied with the ending. I wasn't quite sure what would happen, up until the final scene.

Okay, well from what I gathered (maybe just wishful thinking) Eunha and Andrea ended up together. When he told her that if she woke up he would tell her to "lets love again", that's what I understood, that he would give up being a priest to be with her. I probably have to watch it again to make sure, I wasn't really paying attention because I was so caught up in all the emotions of today's episode. But then again...he did promise to be a good priest because of her... Well, for my sake, I wish to believe that they lived happily ever after as husband and wife. Sure, their is no worse fool than the one who does not want to see...but if dramas can't have happy endings...

But wait, why isn't it a happy ending if Andrea and Euhun don't end up together? It's bittersweet, but not totally unhappy. I think it would make Euhun happy if Andrea stayed a priest and unhappy if he didn't. She as much as said so a couple of times--for example, when she said she was afraid of living and tempting him to sin again.
I think that Andrea will stay a priest, and he and Euhun will remain dear friends, each understanding that romance is not the be-all and end-all of love between people. And there will always be that bittersweet (as I say) element of sacrifice between them.

True, it would not be completely horrible if their relationship never evolved into anything else than friendship.
However what I liked about this ending is that IMO it is open to interpretation. For me personally, I find it sad that he seems to have to choose between either God or Eunha. I am not a supporter of celibacy, although I do respect it, but there is no reason why he can't love and serve both Eunha and the God that created her. That's just my two cents.

I see what you're saying. There are definitely pluses and minuses to either ending, no matter what you wanted to happen. And I didn't see the first episodes of the series, so I'm not totally in on the evolution of the Andrea/Eunha relationship.

I'm not sure how familiar with Korean you are, Lucy, but in one of the earlier posts (the one named Episodes 1-16) someone was kind enough to provide links to all 16 episodes. Unfortunately if you are not too fluent in Korean, it will be hard to understand what's going on since there are no subtitles.
Maybe once you see them all I bet you will appreciate the drama even more (not that you don't now) and see this strong, boundless love in all its glory and sadness.

The impession I got is that they will be able to love each other, even if they can't be lovers.
I just liked the way all the characters seemed to have found peace. Especially the tormented Woo-jin.
of course, BOTH Woo-jins were tormented. . .

Hi, galacticchik! I'm not at all fluent in Korean. I've only learned about 3 words from watching WOCH: hello, yes, and no! In fact, I'm totally at sea when I see the "coming attractions" at the end of the "Green Prairie" episodes, which aren't subtitled. So I guess it really wouldn't help me if I watched the Eps 1-16 highlights. Still, thanks for the suggestion; I appreciate it.

Aa christian, we are all dear brothers and sister. Andrew did answer Eun-na that it is not a sin to love if the op is a success. They will be together forever not a husband and wife because their love has surpass normal man & woman relationship. That's why Andrew said they will start to love again, to love differently.
