I don't know if it's some bugs for foreigner only but VODS won't start after the commercials .. This happens to me always everytime. I have to reclick and watch commercials least twice or even 3times before VODS starts I use a Stream Recorder, and find that I can record a VOD even though it doesn't play in KBS's VOD player. Which, for the past eight months or so, has been most of the time. I can then watch the video just fine in Media Player.

I tried to register again just in case and it said I was already registered. I need step by step instructions if any one can help. I'd appreciate it very much.
I read Soju's instructions and all I see is Program Information, Castings, Episode Preview and Photos.

To get to the VOD selection menu for 'The Great King Sejong': From the main page, hover your cursor over '방송보기' (indicated in green) to drop down a navigation menu, and click on '다시보기' (indicated in red).

Is anyone else having problems watching the 300k feeds now? The player doesn't open anymore. I've never had a problem with them before.

Soju, that's so cool that you can (1) copy an image and (2) write on it! What is that called, the writing I mean? I'd like to Google it for instructions some time. I've seen a pdf where someone highlighted some sentences, then made an attachment of the pdf in email. Sometimes I can't even copy and paste sentences from a pdf. PS, is the VOD you wrote about a free service?

I think someone mentioned that KBS Korea is geoblocking computers w/ North American IP addresses? I noticed when the pop-up appears, the title/address of the popup has something to do w/ checking address, and then once it figures out the address, the pop-up closes down and you're directed to the KBSWorldi website.

You're probably referring to my statement in the other thread. I was just making an assumption, but it does seem probable. The new point system works out to between 71¢ to $1 per show, depending on how many points you buy at once. It seems reasonably priced, but it still sucks that we now have to pay for programs that we used to watch all the time for free. The 56k feeds still work, but the quality is horrible. I guess there isn't much we can do though.

MBC has much the same sort of arrangement: see here. MBC's Web site is a tad more foreigner-friendly than KBS's, but wants to install several Active-X controls, without really explaining what they're for.

The Multinational Standardize stage (MNS) and Worldwide Address Verification and Enhancement System (WAVES) .
The MNS stage uses country names, abbreviations, or ISO country codes in the input file to apply country-appropriate standardization rules. Thus, you can standardize all the records without having to consolidate records from each country into separate files and to standardize the records using country-specific rule sets.
For most countries, the MNS stage does the following tasks:
Separates street-level address information from city-level information Assigns city, locality, province/state, postal code, and postal code add-on to separate fields Assigns ISO country codes (2 and 3 byte versions) Assigns city name phonetics with enhanced New York State Information and Intelligence Systems (NYSIIS) and reverse Soundex to match incorrectly spelled city names
