In the previous topic, I mentioned Garden Buffet, a very good Korean restaurant we tried over the weekend. We also like Jin-Ju, an upscale Korean place on Clark St. in Andersonville with lots of fancy cocktails made with soju but a menu with not too many choices.
What are some of your favorites? We'd like to try more spots, whether city or suburbs.

Here are a few I can recommend:
Song Do Buffet at 4918 N. Lincoln - Not as big as Garden Buffet, but the food is excellent and the people are nice. They were reviewed in the Reader a while ago, and I think they have a commercial on KBC.
Dancen at 5114 N. Lincoln - This is a really tiny place just a couple blocks north of Song Do. The food is a little expensive, but definitely worth it. It also has the best decor I've ever seen in a restaurant.
San Gab Goo San(?) - I'm pretty sure I've got the name wrong. It's a little bit north of the intersection of Western and Foster. It's actually two restaurants, one Korean and one Japanese. The Japanese half has the best sushi I've ever had, and the Korean part is also excellent. The inside of the Korean part is really interesting, too, since all the tables are private and separated by little wooden walls.
There's also a place on Lawrence that's just called "24 Hour Korean Restaurant" or something like that, but I can't remember the exact address. Near Lawrence and Rockwell, I think. Anyway, it's also excellent, despite the generic name.

I just got a laugh reading my original post at the top of this page -- thingytails? Then I realized that this board must censor certain words, and replaced the co*k in "co*ktails" with the less-offensive "thingy." Wow -- I didn't mean to say anything off-color

For me it was the John Hanco*k Building, for Soju it was the Co*kney accent, for Rosetta it's co*ktails. I guess we all have to learn sometime. I'm tempted to do an all-four-letter-word post just to see how it turns out!
