Was browsing through the KBS World YouTube channel today and noticed that all 24 episodes of JYS are still available. Just thought I'd mention it for anybody looking for a shorter historical to watch. It was an okay series, far from the best but not bad, and hopefully they'll keep it available for a long time.

Yeah well, with KBS you take what you can get. Stupid, yes.

I brought it up before, but you notice a pattern with these specific KBS hisotircals? Besides the fact they all start with a "J" (I can't help but speculate whether this was on purpose or not) but every next one goes down in quality. Jeong Dojeon is the best KBS historical, Jingbirok is a step down in quality (I hesitate to say its mediocre-I really can't say because I never finished the entire thing due to the subtitles for the rest of the series being awful)-in my opinion, the dramatization of the events that lead up to the war are the shows' strongest stuff.
Y'all know my thoughts on Jang Youngshil. My least favorite of the "J" K-Historicals. Which makes me wonder, if the cancelled Jeong Yakyong actually would have been worse that JYS if it got through.
