I'm trying to set this vcr thingy to record, but AOW tends to start and end at a weird time Anyone have any suggestions for setting the right time? It looks like AOW starts at 8pm from the listings on this site, but it'll start or end at 8:45pm. Help! I really wanna be able to catch every episode! =PG

What time and day AOW airs, of course, depends on the area, for each area (TV station) tends to broadcast AOW at different times (where I watch it in the San Francisco area it is Th-Fri at approx. 10-11 pm). What you have noticed about the somewhat irregular start and finish times certainly holds true in the SF Area where the start time can be anything from 10 pm sharp to about 1020 pm depending on local short segment specials that run on the channel. As a result, when we record it, we simply have to set a wider time window on the VCR than the show. For example we usually set it to 10 pm to 1115 pm. It sounds like your station may swing things as wide as 45 minutes, so it's probably best to set an extra wide time slot on your VCR. I know this wastes tape, but it's the only way to make sure you don't cut off the end of an episode (happened here twice before we clued in).

OMG SO SORRY!!! I'm in CHICAGO! lol -PG Don't be TOO sorry -- since this board IS centered around the Chicago station! Because my wife has non=-Korean TV interests (though she has now made The Great Jang Geum "our" show), i wind up taping the repeats Tuesday & Wednesdays at 1:27 pm (at least, that's what i set my VCR to). That seems to work out, and then watch the end of the tape to see where i have over-recorded & set it up for the next episode.
